What I never wanted.

Ila Harbor.

Already Adelaida had chosen favorite spots of the packs lands, and it had not been difficult since she had know the lands since the time she had been a child. Ila Harbor was one, for now at least, for in the January winds few came out this way to stare at the waters. The chilly breeze did not bother the chocolate colored lady, it only served to help numb the body while she tried to numb the mind.
Adeliada had not seen Sankor since the day they had been accepted by Cwmfen, leaving an ache in her heart and a pit in her stomach. Perhaps he was only getting adjusted to pack life, they had never really live in a true pack before, but perhaps he was spending time with the raven lady with blue woad markings. Or he might have other friends in Dahlia de Mai now, Adelaida didn’t know, and though she hadn’t detested anyone she had met just yet, or at least she tried not to, she didn’t quite count any of them as friends. Still only Sankor and Alexey filled those slots, and Alexey hadn’t returned.
Walking along one of the docks jutting out into the harbor, Ade sigh heavily, knocking rocks into the water in the manner of a cat knocking a vase off the mantel. "You can have her Sankor… you can have all of them." The grumblings came out unwished for and Adelaida was almost surprised to hear her own voice. Letting a small growl escape her lips, she fell heavily onto the dock, laying against the worn wood, thinking about her siblings.

The she wolf had never been to the harbor before. The wind was cool against her pelt, as winter was still holding the world in her grip. Svara liked the water, it was untamable, and defiant of others, much like herself. No one was her ruler, she was only part of a pack because she wished to live, death was not something she wished so early in life, not when there was so much that she still wanted to do with it. Now that she lived with Haku and firefly she was starting to grow closer to the irritating female, even the young pup could not doubt how alike she and the she wolf were.

Watching the water with her yellow eyes. She scanned the area with interesting. She had not expected to come across another wolf. To be truthful Svara was starting to notice how much of an anti-social she was. Others company was discomforting to her. The way others expected you to willingly care about their problems and want to help them in their lives, why should she make their lives any better when her own was nothing more then a black stain on a beautiful white carpet. Svara still couldn't pass up the chance to make some one even more unhappy then they already were. Moving forwards she made her way over to the chocolate she wolf who was obviously older then herself. Age didn't mean anything to the young pup.

"Sulking is such a boring thing!" Svara called out as she moved closer to the she wolf. Stopping only a few feet away she sat down and kept her eyes on the other as she spoke. "I hate boring things." The pup said dryly as she watched the other. If anything Svara hated weakness and pity, she hated getting it or giving it.

The voice cut her concentration, right when she felt she was about to forget all about Sankor and Cwmfen. Laying her ears back against her skull Adelaida lifted her head and turned to see who was the source of the mockery. The source was surprising, a child, though not an overly young one. Her mind floated back to the coyote puppy, Siobhan, who she had thought she had disliked at first, because of the child’s species, but had, after parting with the pup, felt rather fond of the strange child. However, the child had been sweet if somewhat confused. This was a different matter.

Refusing to raise to her feet for such an unwarranted bit of advice, Adelaida turned her eyes back to the water. “Well thankfully you don’t have to stay here and watch it. So go.” It was not like Adelaida to speak so roughly, especially so newly accepted into the pack. Never would she have dared to cross one of the adults so, but she doubted any of the adults would go out of their way to be rude. This was a child, and while most children should be treated warmly, Adelaida was not in the mood and doubted there would be any consequence for her sharp words.

Svara snorted at the female. She really hated those who though they knew how she was. Telling her to leave only made her walk closer and become more irritating. A shit eating grin settled over her maw as she sat down in the snow. "Why would I leave? Then you would still be bored and I wouldn't be having fun irritating you." The she wolf said it with a hint of joy.

Watching the brown wolf she really knew why she hated those who sulked about their lives and past events. Really was there any purpose in it? She remembered when her mother had killed her own siblings; Sorrow had not been what she felt, but anger and rage. Svara felt even more of it when the bitch killed her presious father. No one understood her, or what happened in her life. They were all fools if they thought they did.

She turned to face the annoyance head on, her ears dropping against her skull. "I’m not bored." The growl that issued from her throat was audible. Although she hated the fact that Sankor had chosen others over herself, just as Alexey had months earlier, she wished for nothing more than to have time to brood over it. Only if she gave the proper time to moping about her shortcomings could she later present them to her siblings as they should be. Showing him how he had failed her and forced her into a life she did not ask for. Adelaida had only recently devised this strategy, during her conflicts with Alexey, but they seemed to work well, instilling guilt where it was due. Surely anyone would see the logic in this.

Eyes narrowed at the girl, wondering if all Dahlian papavers were permitted to run about, creating disturbances throughout the pack. "Should you go find mommy now? I’m sure she really misses someone like you." Adelaida snorted, turning back away and resting her head stubbornly on her feet once more. Kata had always told her to ignore life’s small annoyances and they would go away, but Adelaida felt that this annoyance was more like a fly on a hot day, intent on buzzing about one’s ear no matter what.
