Dated to February 7th. Oh, and shall we say that Savina already told him about Iskata? And we'll have Mati jump in after you reply! Big Grin

It felt like her life had finally gotten back on course. She had gotten help for her problem, her relationships had been mended, and she was finally feeling at peace with herself again. Of course, everything felt perfect where she was right now. Snugly cuddled up against Kansas as the early morning light leaked into their room, the world could not have been better. Their combined scents filled her head and it was impossible for her to wipe the smile off her face. It was almost as if they hadn't had that little bump in the road she had caused. Of course she knew better, and would never let herself forget what had happened. Savina was just overjoyed that they were able to move past it and go back to being a happy couple.

Propping herself up on one elbow she gently nuzzled the side of his face. Underneath their thick blankets her other hand rested on his waist. Usually the Mediterranean fey was not one for such early rising, but she found herself not wanting to miss a single moment with him. Even though every night they shared the same nest of soft fabrics and plush pillows. "Are you awake, my love?" she cooed softly. It was a silly thing to do. If he weren't awake he probably would be now. Most times she would let him sleep, but she was in a bit of a playful mood and wanted his conscious company.

PM'd you. ♥

He was feeling much better these days. His conversation with Savina a few weeks ago had chased away the constant pest of knotted nerves that had been putting a damper on his mood. In fact, it felt like they were closer. He remembered this happening when she found out about Lucifer and Naniko. How lucky he was that the trials between him and the girl he loved never caused resentment or anger. At least, not with him.

From somewhere in the distance, he felt gentle pressure against his cheek, and slowly became aware of the small hand on his waist. Her voice was what really roused him, and he grunted in mock exasperation. One blue eye opened sleepily to find her face above him. He loved this: she was the first thing he saw when he awakened. The boy spoke playfully, "I am now." He streched his toned arms above his head as he yawned, gazing at her when he'd finished. "...How are you, pretty girl?" With a sly grin on his face, his fingers snuck to her ribs and he began to tickle her gently. "Ticklish?"

Where had everyone gone? Round violet eyes blinked to clear the sleep from their edges. The dim light of morning had barely reached the entrance to the cave. For some reason the home just didn’t seem like one. It was dank and cold as she slept alone. Thin stalks of straw and hay softened the ground and the blackest hid her body from the winter’s air, but it was too lonely to feel like home.

Large round paws brought her from her bed and into the crisp air. They grew cold against the snow, making her hop from the different paw tracks that led to and from the mansion that always stood close by. Once with in its doorway she began to feel the warm embrace she had been missing. Nose to the air she found only the dim fragrance of the family that spent their nights with in its walls.

The stairs were large, calling for her to jump one at a time. She hopped up again and again, stopping periodically to look upwards and determine her progress. Many times she felt that it was a never-ending journey, one stair at a time, but she pressing on until the ended on the second floor. Noises could be heard, though faint and hushed. She let out a childish whine, unsure who was up and not wanting to spent their time with her.

The earthen colored child moved down the hall, closer and closer to the door that hid the voices. She found herself in front of the room Kansas had claimed, though Mati was aware that her aunt Savina could be found there as well. Her nose touched the wood, testing its weight. The voices behind it were high pitched, laughter and maybe mixed with a deep tone. A paw nudged the timber, her feelings of being left out overwhelming.

Ignorant to the customary knock and pause Mati entered quietly but with no reason to ask permission. With a few quick movements she was inside the room, and beside the bed that they laid on. She looked up to see white and black fur mixing under the fur and blankets that made their bed. Seeing that it was to high for her to jump she let out another impatient whine.

As her mate's form stirred her tail wagged softly underneath the furs and blankets. At his sigh she leaned forward and nibbled lightly where the dark ring was pierced into his ear. Ever since he had come home with that one day it had been a target for her mouth and fingers to play with. She had never seen anyone with a piercing before, but she liked it. The dark color of the metal was a nice contrast to his milky coat. He really seemed to like it, so of course it made her happy as well. "Couldn't be better. I'm laying here with the man that I love. I don't need anything else," she said as she licked the tip of his nose.

By the time the grin was on his face it was too late to stop the tickle assault. The girl burst out in a fit of laughter as Kansas' fingers poked her sides. "Hahaha...y-yess..." Her body squirmed under his tickling fingers and she was unable to stop her giggling. Savina was a very ticklish wolf so it didn't take much. Moisture pooled at the corners of her eyes with all of the laughing she was doing. She was so distracted by what was going on in their bed that she didn't notice the door to their room opening. But the whine that was so close was enough to snap her out of it. She looked over the side of the bed to see Mati looking up at them longingly.

"Oh...hi there sweetie! Is something wrong?" she asked as she lifted the pup's little brown form onto the cushy surface of the blankets. The sable fey took some deep breaths, trying to regain her composure from the unexpected tickle attack. Looking to Kansas she lightly pinched one of his arms before turning her attention back to Mati.

She always found the perfect time to tell him the things that were most meaningful to him. There were probably a thousand other things she could be doing right now, but instead she chose to spend these early hours with him. Her words would surely get him through the day. He wondered if his ever did the same for her; she needed encouragement more than he did, leading their pack alongside Naniko. He envied her ability to do so much for so many wolves.

Baby-blue eyes lit with amusement as he saw her face twist into a tortured smile. Savina's laughter grew louder as his attack continued, and his fingers moved up and down her sides, seeking her most vulnerable places. He couldn't help but laugh at her cute attempt to wriggle away. Kansas was never playful with others unless he was very, very close to them—that left only Firefly and the dark girl before him, his pretty little mate.

His ears perked as Savina stopped laughing, his fingers pausing automatically. "What is it...?" he began, puzzled and perhaps slightly concerned. But he understood when Savina reached over to lift the small earth-toned child up onto their bed: it was Mati. He remembered her as the quieter of Naniko's girls. Kansas gave her a soft, shy sort of smile. "Hey there." Savina asked her if anything was amiss; that hadn't occurred to Kansas. He took the small girl's paw in his had, hoping to make her feel more comfortable with talking to them.

Large hands grasped her sides, lifted her over the side and onto the tall bed. She sank into the blankets, and her tail waved back and forth. The accented voice floated to her ears, Good mornings! Now that Mati had their attention her sullen mood evaporated, leaving her normal pleasant demeanor.

Unable to sit still she took the blanket that covered them in her jaw and tugged. No ones around at home. Mati confessed when thinking about the question. Sitting in the small space between the two adults she nosed a leg beneath the blanket. Wide-awake from the journey from the cave to the mansion, she wasn’t in the mood to lay around. The sun was up, and bright through the room’s window.

Black nose under a corner of one of the many furs that covered them she struggled to get beneath its warmth. If they were playing bedroom games, she wanted to be part of them.

"Bedroom games" XD

Savina smiled warmly at Kansas as he took the small girl's paw in his hand in a comforting gesture. He was such a kind-hearted wolf. That was one of the many things she loved about him. It was one of the reasons she was able to put all her guards down around him. She knew he wasn't afraid to be vulnerable in front of her, so she wasn't nervous about being that way in front of him. He just made her so comfortable and at ease. Around him she could just open up. That was what she had always wanted in a partner.

As soon as Mati was on the bed the air of concern for the pup melted away as she greeted them with a cheery "Good mornings!". Ah, so she had just been lonely and in need of some company. Well, she was more than happy to oblige. As she tugged at their blankets, Savina laughed airily. "Well, you're more than welcome to come see us whenever you want! Isn't that right, dear?" she said looking at Kansas, a sparkle in her eyes.

The little mud-hued girl was still trying to finagle her way under the blankets, so the Lt. General pulled her up to right where the fabrics started covering her and her mate's bodies. After she had pulled Mati up, she flipped her onto her back and gently tickled her nose against the little puppy's tummy. It was obvious that she was in a playful mood, so she thought they could continue the "tickle" theme Kansas had started.

When she saw their faces, Mati seemed to relax a bit, piping up with a cheerful greeting. Kansas, too, was relieved that there was nothing to be worried aboutl; the pup simply wanted someone to play with for the morning. Kansas smiled more widely, letting go of her paw as Savina set her down. Mati began to nose around the blankets, perhaps wanting to explore around beneath them. She seemed to have lost some of her shyness since Kansas last saw her.

The male looked toward Savina, answering more to her than to the playing child. "Of course," he responded warmly. He hadn't spent too much time with puppies, but he'd doubtlessly enjoyed every minute he had. Savina picked the girl up and flopped her onto her back, tickling the soft pink tummy. Kansas gently gnawed one of her paws, mock-growling as he did so. He pulled back and tickled the pads of her tiny feet with his claws. His smile was ever-present.

Her chest rumbled with the low sound of a growl. Mock of course, the little wolf found that there was nothing more enjoyable then wrestling among the bed covers. She pushed against Savina, though she wanted nothing more then the attention that she was giving. Her growl became giggles, before lengthening out into laughter. It wasn’t easy to dodge the tickling while Kansas chewed her toes.

Her breaths were ragged, Ok, o.. ksss… She spoke from beneath one of the blankets. Unable to handle the battering on her sensitive stomach, she tried to twist free from the two assailants. Once she was off her back she bit at Kansas’ fingers, before launching a counter attach on the two.

She nipped at his nose, and pawed his face. Tail wagging beneath the blanket her half hid under, Mati let her teething become gentle licks on his far larger nose.

Savina couldn't help but smile broadly as Mati's little growls turned to giggles and laughter. There was nothing better than a pup's laughter. It was the world's best medicine. You couldn't hear it and stay sad. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Kansas nibble on her paw and tickle the little girl's pads. Oh, how cruel they were being! But it was all in good fun. The brown pup pushed and squirmed against her attacking nose. When she came in contact with her belly or a leg she lightly nibbled on it, to increase the fun. But soon she was able to get off of her back and onto her feet, and she immediately jumped on Kansas.

The fey softly giggled as she watched their niece get revenge on her mate. Instead of going over to "save" him, she sat back and watched. Seeing the two of them play together tugged at her heart. A yearning that had always been there was beginning to creep into her consciousness. She had always wanted to be a mother. To have children of her own to love and raise. At the same time she wanted her kids to have what she never did: a father. Looking at Kansas and Mati right now she knew deep inside that he would make a wonderful father. She just didn't know if he wanted to be one.

"I think you've got your uncle pretty good there, Mati!" she said grinning. The femme was content to sit and watch this until she was pulled back into the play again.

The little growls that rose in her throat were about the cutest thing Kansas thought he had ever heard. With Savina's nose against her and Kansas' toe-tickling, the child burst into a fit of giggles that was every bit as endearing. As the two continued their attack on the brown pup half-hidden beneath the swirl of blankets, it was all he could to do keep from laughing aloud, too.

Unexpectedly, Mati wriggled free and leapt to her feet, nipping at Kansas' fingers with sharp teeth. His face twisted into something like horror. "Hey...ow!" for the child was now assaulting his face, her batting paw deftly hitting his cheek. But he was smiling, even as she bit his nose and left it with a harmless tinge of pain. "Yes, you're terrifying," he said in response to Savina's words as his blue eyes calmly watched Mati, rubbing his nose and grinning.

Kansas did felt a little of what Savina was feeling. And his was to a lesser degree only because he was more engrossed in play with the child, but he felt it. He wondered what it would be like to be a father, something he'd wondered before—just not as strongly as he did now, looking at the beautiful earth-toned child.

mati can exit at any time…

Watching his face turn from pleasant to painful made Mati stop her battering. She hadn’t truly wanted to hurt him, though a part of her was satisfied that she wasn’t the only one being attacked. Still she would rather not hurt her poor uncle. Instead of nipping she gave a quick kiss on the nose and then let her body tumble into the thick cushion of the furs and blankets. I nots a monster! Little voice chimed, she wasn’t to scary, she was sure of it. If she were, then all the other monsters would be scared of her. Not the other way around.

Climbing to her paws she jumped toward the dark wolfess. Her growl had returned but was mixed with the giggle that she could shake. As fierce as she hoped to be, there would always be the under lying roundness of her face and the softness of her voice remind everyone how sweet her nature truly was.

Her imagination dared to take her to a far off place. Where the light and dark threatened to swallow her whole, using their murky and bright fingers to tickle her into submission. But Savina stayed her aunt and Kansas remained her uncle, wrestling her just out of pure amusement. Turing on the female, Mati launched her own tickle attack on Savina’s neck. Es you turn! It was fair that Mati be the only to get tickled.

Maybe in your next post you could hear someone calling for her or something? Cause I don't think that either Savina or Kansas would make her leave XD

As Kansas winced she had to stifle a laugh. Not for the fact it had hurt him, because she knew that it couldn't have been anything bad, it was just so cute to watch the two. After his reaction Mati gave him a kiss on the nose as once again tumbled into the blankets between the two adults. She was such a sweet little girl. It was amazing how different and yet similar all of Naniko's pups were. They each had their own distinct personalities, but underneath that they were all incredibly kind and caring. No doubt they had gotten that from both of their mothers. "Oh I don't know. I bet you could be pretty scary if you wanted to!" she said, scratching under Mati's chin.

Now it seemed it was her turn to be the victim again. The brown pup jumped at her and began to tickle her neck. Oh no! That place was as bad as her sides that her mate had been attacking earlier. A fit of giggles came from her mouth as the tiny little nose tickled against her slender neck. Savina did her best not to squirm around too much, she didn't want to risk throwing Mati off of her. Happy tears leaked down her cheeks as the assault continued. In her head she thought she wouldn't mind being tickled like this every morning if it were by puppies. Especially if they were her own.

"I-I...s-surrenderr..." she choked out between laughs.

Though he hadn't actually been hurt, Mati appeared to have seen it that way, for he felt the soft tongue on his nose in an apologetic kiss. He was amazed by how sweet she was (though he didn't know why, with Naniko as a mother); he hadn't been expecting a kiss from the rambunctious pup, and he found it very endearing. Her shift of attention left him worried that he might have upset Mati, but her cheerful demeanor hadn't changed. That was good—Kansas wouldn't have been able to forgive himself otherwise.

He covered his mouth to conceal his laughter when Savina spoke, and immediately thereafter was attacked by Mati's tickling snout. His pretty mate began to giggle the same way she had earlier, the sound of her careless laughter like sweet bells. Kansas chuckled to himself until Savina gasped out a surrender, when he took Mati's little paw in his fingers and lifted it gently into a small handshake. "Nice, Mati," he told her, flashing Savina a grin. He'd lost count of how many smiles the child had given both of them.

& exit! Big Grin

Mati knew how much fun being with her siblings were, and of course there was Simon, but this was a surprise. It seemed that adults could be kids too, though she had little time reflecting on such thoughts as she attacked Savina. She pawed at her cheek, but mainly nuzzled her neck, finding that it provoked the greatest response. Laughing with the rest Mati found that her breath was growing rough.

Kansas spoke, having congratulating her on a well executed attach. Finding that all the energy that she once had was finally draining from her body, the pup let Savi have it easy and flopped against the blankets. Almost ready for a nap the little girl looked up to the adults and gave a, I surrenders too.. A large breath left her, as her chest returned to normal.

Just as she began to relax her ear jumped with the sound of a faint voice. The call was hushed, but the pup could always recognize the sound of her brother’s voice. Paws beneath her once again and the color back in her face she looked to the two with returning excitement. Haven! She piped, leaping from the bed without a second thought or word.

Passing the door she cruised through the hallway, leaving the two to what ever they might have been doing before she had interrupted.

The tickling subsided and she drew in large amounts of air to gain back her breathe. She wiped the tears from her eyes as her two assailants of the day shook hands on their jobs well done. Mati then flopped herself against the blankets and looked as though she was about to drift off into sleep. Looking at the girl there, laying between the two of them, she couldn't help the feeling that it was just right. That there should be little bodies cuddling up next to their own. However the serene little scene was soon interrupted as Mati jumped to her feet, exclaimed something about her brother, and leapt from the bed and was out the door.

Savina let out another laugh as she rose to shut the door to their room behind the pup. With Haven calling for her no doubt the two would be playing with each other for the rest of the day. And she had something that she wanted to talk to her mate about. Something private. The sable fey crawled back under the covers and gave Kansas a quick kiss, resting one of her hands against his chest. "Mati is such a sweet little girl, isn't she? All of Nani's pups are wonderful."

The urge to be a mother was strongly flowing through her now. She wanted that so bad. But most of all, she wanted it with him. And as much as she wanted it, she needed to know that he did too. The last thing she wanted to do was to bring her children into the world without a father there to love and care for them. Emerald eyes locked into his pools of blue. "Kansas? How...how do you feel about kids? Would you...like them?" It was impossible to keep the hope out of her voice, but she was nervous too. She didn't want to force him into anything he didn't want. She wanted him to want it as well.

He noticed the puppy was beginning to calm down a little, her tickling lessening in violence. Did puppies wear out that fast? He hoped she'd be all right, that this hadn't been too much. Naniko would probably wonder what they'd done t her child. Kansas smiled to himself as the girl flopped over, finally relinquishing her power over his Mati. Savina's laughter had died down and finally came to a stop. He loved seeing her this happy; he couldn't describe how good it made him feel in turn.

He listened to the girl's soft sigh and lay beside her. She felt safe with them; she trusted them. He liked the feeling of having a child's trust. The three rested for a few only a few precious moments, the contentment filling the cream-hued youth with warmth; but suddenly, Mati's ears perked and her eyes lit with sudden interest. He flashed Savina a quizzical gaze but understood when he heard the sound of another one of the pups and watched Mati get up and stroll out their door. Kansas laughed a little, watching Savina move to push the door shut. He had a feeling she would have loved if the girl had stayed behind to nap with them.

When she returned to his side, her expression was a puzzling combination of excitement and uncertainty. He touched the slender fingers on his chest, taking her hand in his. "She is a sweet girl. I'm glad she came." Another smile. Savina spoke again, this time her words uncharacteristically wary and careful. He was silenced for a moment, absently gazing at their hands... He knew she'd ask him this question soon. And it wasn't that he didn't want her to. It just frightened him. He didn't want to be a bad parent, to mess up his children like some fathers did.

"I... I do want to have children with you," he said softly. "I... would just want to be... a good father to them." He moved his other hand so that both of his hands held hers, and he looked into her eyes, wanting her to know that what he said was true.

I love this so much :3

Warmth spread through her arm as he took her hand in his. She could sense a nervousness in him too, though it was different than her's. It was a big step, she knew that. Yet she had every confidence that they could do it. Amata had been the perfect role model for being a mother. Watching her and replaying those memories in her head would be so helpful to her when the time came. The Italian fey had always felt a strong connection to pups. While she didn't know what kind of father Kansas' had been, she knew that her beloved mate was father material. He was so gentle and caring. Watching him with Mati had only confirmed that he would be great.

Her heart skipped a beat as he admitted that he did want children with her. Her other hand moved to the side of his face as he looked into her eyes. She couldn't help but smile softly at his concern. To her, she thought it was good to have that thought in your mind. It only meant you would try harder to be the best parent you could be. "I never had a father. So I don't know what it's like. But," her voice swelled with confidence and love. "I know in my heart that you will be a wonderful father. You're everything I would want for my pups. Our pups." Savina's eyes could never tell a lie, and they were full of the same feelings that her voice was. That her whole body was.

Me too. Big Grin

There was no doubt in his mind that Savina would make a good parent. Seeing how gentle yet delightfully playful she was with Mati simply proved it to him. Perhaps she'd seen the same sort of thing in him; he couldn't see himself from the outside, of course, but he'd been so comfortable with Naniko's daughter. He hoped he'd looked this way, too. That he'd treated her how she should have been treated.

If he ever had puppies, he'd be sure to remember the things Phoenix had done that hadn't seemed right, and fix them so they were. Savina's hand caressed his cheek gently, and she was smiling. She trusted him, didn't she? Kansas smiled back, finding warm, blissful comfort in her words. "...Do you think so?" He cast his pale blue gaze to their blankets, lost in thought. He looked back up at her and smiled again. "You'd be a great mother, too." The boy released her hand and let his fingers drift to her neck while he kissed her. Suddenly, he was as relaxed as he'd been upon waking.

There was a light that had shined from her mate as they had played with their niece. It was different than any she had seen in him, and it was in that that she knew that he would be a good father. Maybe he didn't really feel it yet, but it was there inside of him. She saw it and she felt it. He would be gentle and loving with little girls and a smart, good role-model for young boys. It was something that he could excel at. It was a journey and she knew that there wasn't a single person on the earth that she wanted to share it with more than the Sadira male.

Savina's eyes glittered as she looked at the man she loved so much. "I know so, my white knight. I know it." His smile and his words made her heart flutter. Believing something yourself was one thing, but hearing it from someone you so trusted was entirely different. She could feel her face flush underneath her dark fur and her tail gently wagged under the covers. "Yeah?" He wasn't the only one with that little worry in the back of his mind. The girl had it too, though to a lesser degree. Her neck tingled as his fingers touched it and she leaned into his kiss. Slender hand traveled from his chest to his back, pulling him closer. The urge to have children had grown from her heart and head to the other parts of her body. She could feel her heart slowly begin to pick up its pace. "Kansas..." she whispered through their kiss.
