sabeen !

just inside Berwick...

When she ran, it was never for her life. Though it always felt like it. Never had she ran away to save herself from some pending danger. She was always just running, in hopes of separating herself from the anguish that was held within. It was impossible to place miles between she and something that lived with in her. But hell, she tried again and again. South had been a road Anu had already tried, and it placed her in the hands of a massacre, and a rapist. Instead in the earliest of mornings the lean female traveled northward. The travel was long, and the scenery bare and forgettable. It had been cold, in the dark of a clouded sunless sky. Winter raged on, but instead of the light snow that settled around her paws the sky gave a weeping icy rain.

A day gone to the road the female slowed her pace, as the scent on the wind changed. Never had she been so far north. The smell was foreign, but she felt that maybe she had found it before. Putting it behind her Anu felt no hesitation passing through the imaginary boarder with a single stride. The two-legged wolfess entered with no intention of trouble, she was leader of her pack now and a representative so her body held at a neutral stance. Pace slow and easy, she figured that no one would find her threatening.

Blue eyes looked over the change of worlds by entering. The human artifacts were littered over the landscape. It reminded her of Halifax, but it was missing the dank and dark feeling that she received from the city. Nature had claimed far more of this place, and Anu found herself touching the remnants of a broken fence, or looking at the fallen mail box that lay at the foot of a much smaller version of Haven Manor. She hesitated, before crossing the lawn to look with in the grimed window. In all her years, her curiosity still hadn’t slowed or shrunk at the least.

     sorry for the wait!
Like a cancer scare In the dentist's chair

The icy rain had driven the woman inside with her vices. She was growing paranoid; she knew her days were numbered. The Dahlians suspected her of blinding her own daughter. The evidence was there, and on some deep, deep level she might've known it, but not enough to consciously know. Her mind blocked out all memory, all smell, and now that she was clean the evidence was gone, gone, gone and she would never remember. She was too angry, too upset to even take a hit and calm down. She wanted this anger, wanted it to fuel her to reclaiming her innocence.

Sabeen looked up suddenly, a sharp fear shooting through her. Someone was outside--? At the window, that was it. A form, outside, reminiscent of when she had stood outside Firefly's window. Politer, though, no noise, just curiosity. She couldn't make out the face completely. The female rose and, upon reaching the doorway, cracked it open, just enough to stick her head out. She was still afraid of ambush, and although the female smelled of another pack, you could never be too careful. She allowed her wheat-eyes to rove over the other female's body for a moment before finally speaking. 'Who are you?'

No worries!!

Through the film that speckled the glass Anu found it hard to see through it. Blue eyes squinted at a passing shadow, unsure if it was just her imagination or truth Anu took a step backwards. Peeping in windows wasn’t something that she normally did, and if there was certainly a beast inside she must seem dam well nosey. Before she could turn to leave noise came from the opening door to her right. Head turned to meet the gaze of a golden-eyed female. The stranger’s words left her mouth agape, and the sky eyed Crimsinion stood with words lost.

She hadn’t meant to be spying, only curious. Looking at the other there was a suspicion in her eyes, though Anu could doubt her for such. Anu. She spouted her name, before regaining her composure. She was no threat, ears slowly turning to retreat downward in submission. I didn’t mean to… Anu chocked as she took another step from the window, still looking at the flouting head that stuck outside the doorway.
