Title is tabs to a song's opening rift, words 307

inShe was still so new to these lands; there was so much history that was all around the young she wolf. Her golden coat shimmered in the mid day sun as she looked raised an eye brow, as she played with the incoming waves of aqua colored water. Her honey colored paws tapped at the water’s top watching the water ripple under her touch. She smirked, loving the feeling of the bitter cold water under her paws. Her deep golden eyes blinked as she lifted her paw up placing it back upon the sandy beaches of the pack lands. She smacked her lips as the salt from the water misted all over her face. She curled up her face in disgust; however was she going to drink this salty water was beyond her. She missed her mother sweet milk; she missed the nights when she and her litter mates would cuddle up to their mother each with one of her tits in their mouth, and suckled their mother’s sweet milk till slumber feel upon them.

inShe stood up as she watched the sand shifted under her paw making room for it upon the beach. It was just like how this pack was, they all seemed to live a little tighter, and allow the children to walk upon the lands, and call these lands home. These beings….her new pack mates…she believed them all to be strange and awful none of them understood her. Nor did it seem that any of them understood what she was saying, they looked at her like she was stupid, she wasn’t…she was just normal. Stupid adults! She looked up to the sky then back down as she sighed, this life was not what she had thought when she had taken the walk with her mother and came here. "Ich möchte nach Hause gehen!!"

schwarzWith his less than pleasant experience with the ocean waters the other day, one would think Roulette wouldn’t be too keen on exploring near the harbor so soon. This was actually true, he didn’t want anything to do with the rolling tides or screaming gulls, at least not until he forgot about what it felt like to almost drown. Drown. That’s not a word the pup would have used to describe the experience, he actually had no clue that he might have died had Slayer not been there to rescue him. But the overall fact was, it was an experience he didn’t want to have… ever again. So returning to the ocean’s edge the next day was furthest from his mind when he awoke that morning. What brought him there now was the scent of his sister.

schwarzPicking out Avarice’s scent was hard in their new home sometimes. There were so many different and strange scents that it was hard to decipher what was what. He still didn’t have names for everything he smelled. It was even harder to track her when she was playing along the shore, her scent lost in the salty breeze. Somehow he still managed to find her, his russet tail waving like a flag in the breeze as soon as his aquamarine eyes set on her… only to droop along with his ears as he heard her yell. He wanted to go home too.

schwarzTrotting over to his litter mate, Roulette took the place by her side and plopped his rump down on the moist sand. “Mama will come back for us soon, right, Avarice?” He was seeking reassurance from his sister, his hoping was dwindling despite having believed this for longer than maybe his other siblings had. Adults talked in hushed tones around them sometimes and he listened. They were wrong, though. Their mother loved them. She would come back.

She felt sorry for her little brother, she knew he was picked upon by the other litter mates but…in a way she understood him, and he just said what everyone was thinking. She lowered her head down in a shame that he saw her give into her feelings; she needed to be strong for him and everyone else. She didn’t need him to be scared, and he didn’t need her to be scared. She smiled softly as she tried to pull her-self back together, not looking at his eyes that begged for them all to wake up and to be back at home with their mother. She so badly just wanted to tell her brother yes, just to see him smile, however she couldn’t lie to him, she wouldn’t lie to him. She slowly walked over to her brother sitting down next to him shaking her head. She refused to speak in the tongue that every one spoke around here, hoping that if she managed to stick to her old ways that mother had taught all of them, that she would come back and take them home. "Besser. Ich hasse ihn hier" She snorted, it smelled funny and the water was way too salty for her liking. She missed the den; she missed mother’s stories and teaching. She still she still wanted to know, mostly about her mother’s past and the father of her and her brother’s and sister. She wanted to have all them times that she was suppose to have as a child, she wanted the mommy and her time, but now here they were stuck in some ungodly lands where they all talked funny. "Roulette, sprechen nie wie sie. Möglicherweise kommt Mamma dann zurück! "She gave a hopeful nod, it was a very logical thought, after their mother didn’t work that hard on teaching them German if she didn’t want them to know it and use it.

Sorry! I should have specified in my last post. >< The dark blue color when he's speaking means he's talking in German and white would mean English... if he ever gets around to that. I don't know German well enough to actually type out what he's saying in German and it allows other people to know what he's saying as well... even if their characters don't. ^_^

schwarzRoulette nodded enthusiastically. His sister was so smart! He didn’t want to speak English anyway, it sounded funny. Despite the urging of the adults he had interacted with, the boy still refused to try to speak the language of the area. The frustration of their guardians was apparent; he supposed right now they just thought he couldn’t understand. Sooner or later they would more than likely catch on that he just didn’t want to talk to them unless they miraculously learned his language. Why should he have to learn English if they weren’t willing to speak to him in German anyway?

schwarz “Palindrome and Catharsis talk like Cercelee and Slay now. Will mama leave them behind when she comes for us?” His little ears drooped again at the thought. He didn’t always get along with his littermates, but they were family and he didn’t want to be without them. Of course they seemed as though they might be starting to enjoy their new lifestyle. He had no doubt that they still missed their mother as much as he did, but they didn’t seem to think about it as often as he dwelled on her.

schwarzMaybe they could persuade their siblings to stop speaking English. Surely they would agree it was the only way their mother would come back to them. A thought struck him and he was suddenly horrified. Maybe that was the only reason she hadn’t come back yet! They had been waiting forever now but maybe the only reason that they were still waiting was because their siblings weren’t solely speaking German! They had attempted to interact with their new guardians from day one in older wolves’ native language. He couldn’t blame them, these new wolves seemed to be in charge and they had all wanted to know what was going on when they woke up in a strange place with their mother nowhere in sight. But surely it wasn’t too late for them to stop!

schwarz “Avarice! We need to tell Palindrome and Catharsis they cant talk like that no more!”

I kinda figured sorry if it seemed like she was scolding him for using it, it was just like a random thought that popped into her head. WC:322 Also because my table was acting up, all in white text in German.

She really didn’t know if by refusing to speak in English would help bring their mother back to them, but with any hope she would. After all if Mother wanted them to know and use that horrid langue then in all rights she would have taught them how to use it, but she didn’t, not even a basic word such as no. She flicked her ears back feeling sorry for her brother; they both wanted their mother back so hard it hurt. She didn’t know what else to do; she moved her head into him, offering it out there if he felt the need to be close to someone. Maybe! would mother taught us English, if they wished, that we spoke." >That was why she should be the leader of their own little pack, and not Catalyst. She was so quick to learn their ways and live there. Just because mother dropped them off there and left them with Cerce, don’t mean that where they had to stay really they are able to wonder these lands and maybe even find home when they got old enough.

Yeah and if it don' t to take then, if mother come, to us home. They must remain here.”She stompedd her paw down in the sand, as she looked down, she wanted her mother to come and take them away from this place, this wasn’t home and she wouldn’t allow it to become home. She would run away and find their mother if they ever made her use English. She was starting to learn what some of the words meant however that was just better for her to respond in her birth tongue with any random gibberish that she could think of. She looked to her brother again; this was his vow to him. "No matter what happens if and when mother comes to take you home, I will never ever leave you behide!

Sorry I took so long. Finals are coming up and it's kind of a mad rush with studying and final projects and such. X_X

schwarzRoulette smiled happily; tail wagging behind him once again. They would warn their siblings later and if they didn’t listen it wouldn’t be Avarice’s or his own fault if their mother left them behind. Somehow he doubted they would, and this pained his little heart a bit, but he managed to push that thought aside for now. Right now they would just focus on what they had to do: be good pups until their mother came back.

schwarzThe male pup’s attention was suddenly captured by a speckled shell that moved by itself. Blinking his aqua eyes, the pup leapt to his feet and chased after it, noticing little stick legs poking out from beneath the shell.

schwarz“Avarice, this rock is alive, I think!” Roulette exclaimed, clearly excited by this discovery, little black nose sniffing the moving object. To his mind something inanimate like a rock shouldn’t be moving on its own! He had a small concept of the wind but this didn’t seem to be blown around… it was clearly walking even if it didn’t walk in the same way that he and other wolves did.

schwarzDancing in the sand, never staying too long in one place, Roulette bounded around the crab who didn’t exactly appreciate being the spotlight of the pup’s attention. Playfully barking at it, little rump in the air as his tail continued to wag tirelessly. He shot glances at his sister, hoping that she would be as amazed as he was.

schwarzWhile he didn’t enjoy being away from his mother, it was clear that Roulette enjoyed finding new things. This new land was full of things he hadn’t discovered before in their old home. Maybe if they found lots of new things while they were here they could show their mother when she came for them!

No worrys, I should be doing my final project but Souls is funner! Sorry for the short post >,<

The topic was changed by her brother, and rather quickly. She looked down to what her litter mate was talking about looking down the child jumped back, twisting her head looking at the moving rock with a dumb founded look. The boy took a step back, if he wasn’t going to touch it and figure out why the moving rock was able to walk, then she would. She walked up to the moving rock sniffing at it and then barked; jumping back quickly the child looked over to her brother.” Ich denke, es ist lebendig!” She didn’t know how or why but she knew it was moving and as far as her mind knew that meant it was alive. She looked over to her brother as she smiled and started snorting as she batted the walking rock toward her brother, as she laughed. She wasn’t sure what the whole reason for the walking rock was but, hey it seemed fun to play with.

schwarzRoulette jumped back as his sister batted the rock towards him. He wasn’t sure he wanted anything to do with something that was moving when it was something that normally didn’t move! The rock was flipped on it’s top at his sister’s action and the little stick-like legs disappeared inside it. The rock was actually a shell and the creature living inside of it, now scared out of its wits by being toyed with by two playful pups, was a hermit crab.

schwarzBlinking his eyes, Roulette moved closer to sniff at the opening in the strange rock. He nearly got his nose pinched as the crab snapped its pincers at him. Yelping in confusion and sudden fear, he reeled back. “What is that?!” He cried in alarm. It was true that the pup was probably a hundred times bigger than the crab, but as far as he was concerned, it had nearly de-nosed him! Leaping circles around the crab, barking at it, hackles raised, Roulette showed it exactly what he thought of that.

schwarzCrouching down, a few yards away, Roulette let his eyes drift to his sister. Tail wagging slightly, he tried to survey what she thought of this new menace. He tried to be brave in the face of danger! Avarice was always sticking up for him when it came to their siblings picking on him, but this time he wanted to protect her. Surely this monster would soon turn on them and gobble them up! He growled at the creature, daring it to attack him. He was in charge here! Little did he know, the crab was trying to figure out the best way to escape, not muttering some incantation to make it grow twice their size and wondering which one of them tasted better.

schwarz“Don’t worry, Avarice! I wont let it eat you!”

306. Sorry for the wait, life is full of bs drama, looking for a new job, dealing with the crap at the present one.
though it's easy to pretend, i know you're not a fool

The child jumped as the toy rock moved, and the legs went back within its shell, she lowered her body down to the ground growling at it, warning it that if it was going to hurt her brother then it would pay. However one would hurt a rock was beyond her, but it would hurt if it hurt her brother. The rock’s had claws and they quickly came out as it went for a swipe at him, she gave a deep bark, well deep for a pup. Second warning, third time she might have to bust out with her awesome fighting skills. She flicked her ears back and then her fur rose up, making herself look even bigger than the pup was when she was when this whole rock came to life.

Her brother jumped in front, protecting her from the rock that came to life on them. She wasn’t sure how to take it, but she stepped back and stood up letting him stand in front and protect them from this rock. She twisted her head to side, as she lowered her body back down sniffing at it. “Ich dachte, es war ein Fels!” Then it hit her like a light turning on as she brushed her front leg across her brother’s leg. “Oh! Sie müssen über Magie!” After all he was able to turn a rock into something that was able to move and reach towards them. She gave her brother a lick upon his check “Mein Held!” He was trying to protect her from this rock, this living rock. She wanted to praise him for stepping out of his shy shell. She stepped back and let him be the protector that she normally was with him. Maybe this would help him a bit, to over some his fear of everything…then again maybe not.
