Cwmfen and Onus. Hope the setting is okay. Edit; hmm, have I used this title in an older thread as well? Undecided

There it was again. The scent of Mr. Retaliation. The demonic male turned in his tracks and followed the scent from the borders and deeper into Dahlia de Mai. There had been a few occasions when the cocoa Lilium had lifted his muzzle in vague recognition to a scent that was slowly evaporating as wet footsteps on the beach, waves wiping them out. It was fresh and recent today. The man was here, in Haku’s territory. It was unacceptable, and Haku was planning to announce this openly for the world to see. The wonderful part of having the piece of shit here was that he had no rights. There would be a pleasant taste of metal washing over his tongue soon. Patience. Shortened tail moved contently behind the secui as he made his way through the forested land, following the scent of one of his many enemies.

The coyote’s trail seemed to cross Cwmfen’s and trail after hers (she too had been here recently). The blue eyed demon sped up and followed the trail to the Adonis’ den. Last time he had been here, believed that she had been worthy of something else. Last time they had seen each other, she had disappointed him. Now, a growl slowly bloomed in the depths of his throat. He could feel his hackles rise on command. Lips automatically withdrew to reveal his slowly yellowing fangs. Of all shabby creatures, why this one? He would have to pay the black eyed demon a visit; there was no turning back now if his suspicions were correct. ”Oh, Mr. Retribution, wont you come out and play..” the man growled into the darkness of the den.

It’s okay with me, ^=^ And if you want something changed, Erin, just let me know, ^=^

Before she had encountered the small pup Catalyst, and after she had received those wounds from Brennt, the woman had created more space within her den. While it had been a simple way to occupy her time and ideal for the coming summer season, it seemed to have been an ideal choice in another way. While her den beneath that watchful tree had been large enough for one and maybe two luperci, it was now large enough to comfortably accommodate two adults with ample space. The few weapons that she did keep within her den were pushed into one corner, held by a shelf carved into the wall. The dark, earthen walls kept that place cool, and it was a place in which the warrior could rest both her body and her mind.

Today the woad warrior had invited the masked vigilante into her home. No other male had been invited into that space, and only Svara had been inside. Posing no threat to any of the Dahlian members, the warrior had believed it safe to allow him past those boarders. And the cool spring and shade of the forest that characterized the earth about her home was a pleasant contrast to the city. She knew that her den was by no means as spacious as the rooms of the concrete jungle of which he was familiar, but she thought that perhaps it would be appropriate for the coyote to experience the way in which she lived. While they shared a common warrior’s path, and while they had partaken in that most intimate of unifications, there were still smaller aspects of each other’s life that remained unfamiliar. While Onus may not have remained in one place for long as his entire life consisted of the tracking and killing of those subject to crime, her pack life allowed her much flexibility in life. And today there was no immediate battles to be fought, though she did not doubt that she would be challenged soon.

Quietly, in the darkness of her den, she lay with Onus. The air was indeed cooled by the shadows and the earth that obscured the heat of the sun, and with the male’s scent introduced into that place, the woman was quite at ease. Her head was rested upon his shoulder with her hand over his chest as she lay beside him, her white eyes looking into the plain walls and breathing in the scent of the earth and the male. She spoke only occasionally if at all, content with the silence that words could not provide. It was not until a familiar voice cut through that silence that the woman shifted. The black fae pushed herself onto her elbow as she turned her head to the lighter opening that was the mouth of the den. For a moment, the white orbs turned back to Onus, perhaps inviting him to follow. And the woad bound ears lifted as she turned to move, pushing herself with that fluid ease up through the tunnel and back into the world. "What brings you here, Haku?" The quiet melody spoke quietly without demand, not understanding the meaning of ‘Mr. Retaliation’ nor the need for the growled words. Sitting comfortably on the ground, the woman’s attention was both upon the Lilium and upon the vigilante she had invited into her home.

S'all good with me Big Grin

Today he had ventured back into Dahlia de Mai at Cwmfen’s request. Walking into those lands always made him a tad uneasy, knowing that somewhere within the pack that brown brute was lurking. So far he had not run into the man again and he hoped that it stayed that way. He was good at hiding his weariness though. Onus did not want to cause problems between him and the woman he loved unnecessarily. While he would have been content to hunt the man down before, he refrained. It helped that things had become personal in that situation. He was no longer able to be completely objective towards Haku Soul and he knew there were many others in the land whom wanted the man’s head. He had defeated him once and was content with that for now.

Never before had the coyote been in an underground den. He had been born in a city and had always lived in one until now. Even here he chose the dead city to sleep in instead of a natural den. It was a peaceful place though, kept cool and comfortable. He sensed that it was special for her to allow him here, smelling only one other sent in the place besides her own, and that belonged to another female and was faded. Upon arriving he had undressed so his coat could not come between them. The man had wrapped his arms around her as they lay together. They were both creatures of silence, so they were content to be quiet and just take in the moment. A smile was on his maw as he gave the top of her head a light kiss.

Soon things quickly changed and it seemed that his concerns were coming down upon them. Subtlety his muscles tensed at the voice and his jaw clenched. The small smile was wiped from his face, replaced with its usual stony neutrality. He caught her gaze somewhat uneasily and watched as she slid back up to the surface. The hair along Onus’ spine rose and he grabbed his clothes, knowing how quickly things could turn to violence and not wanting to be naked before the brown bastard. Once he was dressed, he made his way outside as well. He moved silently to stand by Cwmfen’s side, his hidden eyes never leaving the half-shifted form of the wolf.

Tension flushed into the atmosphere as soon as his words left his lips. She was the first to appear from the darkness of the den, and he could smell the coyote all over her, the smell of passion, of sex. The scent seemed to overtake his senses, and a subtle hint of bile could be registered in his mouth. Was it a stab in the back? She had attempted to play him around like the idiot male he was, and he had danced after her flute like a monkey for it’s master. She had used him, and no one was allowed to do so without consequences. She had done it again, and now she was sleeping with a filthy scum, a masked crazy idiot that believed he was a super hero. Both of them, here, in Haku’s kingdom. His face was cold as ice as she sat down, wondering what was wrong. His command was simple, very easy to follow. Shut up.” She had to disappear, one way or the other. The male was to go first, he was a trespasser and a worthless piece of flesh.

After a few moments, the masked man rose out of the dark, and something seemed to snap inside the brown brute’s head. His body moved forward, and he could feel his jaws part, hungry for a living substance to fill the empty void. The hunger shot up and gnawed away on his guts, and he had to vanquish it quickly before the world burst into flames. He just wanted to see the man turn into a pile of unrecognizable matter. It was the man the blue eyes were locked on. Cwmfen would be dealt with in time. Sadly there was no plan how to solve and deal with this situation. There was a fire in him, and he could only react by attacking the source of it, the shit that had attacked him for no reason.

The black fae raised a brow at that single, uttered command. The warrior did not believe that he had any reason to command her in such a way. For a moment, the warrior considered the possibility that the male had simply held that tone with her because she was in the way of his current mood. And yet, the warrior somehow doubted that this were the case. Her white orbs, having flashed once in the face of his words, watched the blue eyes, the blue that should have held an innocence, a goodness, and yet held nothing. She saw that cold mask that was more aggressively, emptily fixated upon his being than was usual. And it was the darkness that had intrigued her, and it still did, though such intrigue burned with a lesser urgency as the presence of Onus was more keenly within her. And yet this darkness was not the same as it had been. The woman noted once more the difference that seemed to whirl behind that impassive male, and yet he seemed similar. A woad bound ear flickered backwards with irritation, but she was silent. There was nothing to be said, for she knew that he would not tell her if he had not already. The woman knew that much of Haku; he was not one to waste words if they were seen to be wasted.

Haku moved forward suddenly, his gaze locked upon something else. The woman did not flinch as he moved, unphased by those parted jaws that sought death. And she knew well the look of such hunger, for she felt it with every battle. The white eyes turned from the Lilium to the movement at her side. Her gaze washed over Onus’ form as he arose from her den, moving to her side. The tension between the males that moved through the air like the heat waves of deserts was not lost upon the woman. She was silent still as she considered the air between them, watching it for a moment as if she could see something that was not made physically manifest. It was immediately apparent that the two males were acquainted. Neither had informed her, and yet she did not expect that they would have found such information necessary. However, if Haku indeed had an issue with a creature entering the packlands, it should have been made known to her, just as it had with Leroy, Firefly, Svara, and any canine of Inferni. A quiet sigh was expelled from the woman as she turned back to Haku, remaining where she was, sitting beside the standing form of Onus.

Then the alto melody sang, those tones harder than what was customary. "He is not of Inferni," she stated openly, knowing that Haku knew this fact already, "And is a guest within these lands." She too had the power now to accept someone past the boarders, and Onus had crossed these boarders only once. The white orbs openly sought the gaze of the Lilium. She knew that she was not on Haku’s good side at the moment, and experienced such a thing for the first time. Where before Haku had trusted her, where he had been there for her and when she had offered her company to him, now those simple and yet profound things seemed to be nothing. Haku was dangerous to her now, but she was a Warrior. And she was a Dahlian and still loyal to him. "Perhaps you should explain to me, Haku, what it is that troubles you." Onus posed no threat and Haku should not be able to attack him. And as Adonis, was she not subject to such thoughts of the Lilium?

As soon as he emerged from the den he saw the wolf move for him. Instinctively he moved out of the way easily as the man seemed to gain some control over himself. It seemed their roles had been switched. Now Onus was the one in the calm state of mind and Haku was feral. While the coyote saw some advantage to this, he knew to tread carefully. With a crazed mind came a kind of strength that came with nothing else. When it had taken over him he had been relentless, bloodthirsty, willing to stop at nothing until the other man bled. He saw this same thing in the demon's blue orbs. Part of his mind told him to attack, technically the wolf had made the first move. Yet he restrained himself. This creature was Cwmfen's packmate and if Onus attacked him she would feel obligated to protect the man.

But maybe this all would work in his favor. Now she would see him for what he truly was. Some madman that had no qualms with snuffing out innocent lives and turning on those that had once put trust in him. So the vigilante would stand by and only speak when needed. He would defend himself and attack only if necessary. His gaze was locked on the halfling just as that man's was locked on him. Onus' face remained stoic. He did not fear this man. He had been hoping to avoid this situation, but now that it was here he would deal with it accordingly. She would have to see what he was. A loose cannon. A rabid beast willing to turn on anyone that got in his way, be it friend or foe. He had seen many of his ilk. While his body appeared relaxed, he was poised, ready to dodge out of the way at the first sign of another attack.

The chocolate and cream man hesitated, slowly realizing what he was about to do. Cwmfen had turned her back on him, but this was still Dahlia and she was the Adonis, serving together with him under the ivory Rosea. He let his lips conceal the threatening fangs rather quickly, but it took longer for his gaze to stray from the masked creature that was an open threat. Haku’s hackles did not sink into the calm like his face did. His intensely blue orbs slowly moved to meet the moonlit orbs of the female that once had held such potential in his mind. So he was a guest within these lands, was he now? She suggested an explanation, and his orbs moved to the other in a slightly weary manner, realizing that the man that seemed so close to the black woman apparently had forgotten to mention that he was acquainted with one of the individuals that rules this pack. How odd.

”Seems your lover have forgotten to fill you in with some details.” the cocoa male said dryly. Of course, Mr. Retaliation was present too, and it would be impolite to speak as if he was not there. The terrible blue stayed on the masked man, piercing through the cloth to gaze upon the magnificent black that he knew was there. ”I always wondered exactly why you repaid my hospitality with hostility.” The Lilium let his voice articulate the two opposites very clearly. Truth be told, he had actually wondered about that. ”Oh, and I never quite caught your real name..?” Retaliation could hardly be his proper name, and Haku would prefer being able to offer the coyote’s proper name when he was to find someone to expose of the coyote in the future. Haku’s ears were folded backwards, the tension in his body obvious, suggesting that the man posed a threat, no matter what the Adonis suggested.

The black fae held a quiet, almost cold, calm. What had once been a pleasurable afternoon swiftly deteriorated, taken by the blue eyed leader to whom her loyalty was pledged. That white gaze watched the earth, but those lowered eyes were not lowered in submission. With her periphery, the woman could watch both males. She did not deny that such a situation caused her to carry a certain amount of confliction. As Adonis and Head Warrior of the pack, her loyalty was with Cercelee, Haku, and the pack itself. However, the love that she had for the masked vigilante too demanded of her loyalty. The woman had been prepared to defend both loyalties should the need arise. And yet here, at her den, both entities were faced against one another. And while the woman did indeed love that man, she could not deny that, should the two males partake in physical combat, she would force the coyote, by sword point, to depart these lands. The loyalty to the pack was far greater than her personal desires. But she hoped that such a decision would not have to become executed.

Yet, although his physical display of aggression did not diminish, the cocoa and cream male ceased to openly threaten the coyote. A certain amount of tension left the woman’s mind as she remained unmoving, seemingly undisturbed by the challenges each male threw at one another. When she sensed that neither would attack the other, her gaze lifted, turning once more to watch the blue eyed Lilium. Those white eyes watched him easily, meeting that gaze effortlessly. And though the black fae did not challenge him, there was a certain amount of defiance within her. But the chocolate wolf was not watching her. He watched the coyote, watching him as if he knew something that she did not. Yet, the warrior was silent, once more doing as she was bid, for once more she could say nothing. And then silently, almost in mockery (in mockery of the Dreamer?), the Raven descended from the heavens, landing with a whisper upon the branch of the great tree. The pied bird crawed thrice, his single, inky eye turned upon first the warrior and then upon the Lilium, as if he too knew something that she did not.

Even when Haku made his declaration, the woad marked fae was silent, awaiting the revelation of what it was that was missing from her knowledge. But as the Lilium’s cold, meandering explanation continued, it became quite clear that the two males had met before, and, apparently, it had not been on good terms. And she understood that an act of hostility upon a member of a pack was an act of hostility upon the pack itself. So Onus, it seemed was a pack enemy, although it seemed as if only Haku had been threatened.... She knew of Haku’s tendencies, and she had believed that he was not a monster. However, the woad warrior was not aware of how twisted her leader had recently become, and perhaps she would not know until it was too late. "You have also failed to fill me in, Haku," the alto melody countered quietly. "You know me well enough," she continued. "My loyalty is with the pack." She made that declaration openly and without hesitation, her gaze in turn fixed upon the Lilium before her, but her soul with the male at her back.

The tension in the air was palpable. While he was not acting as the aggressor this time, he knew that a far share of that tension was coming from him. He did not like this man. He did not like him at all. Not only was he a madman and a criminal, but he had had the audacity to remove his cloth while they had battled. A rare lapse in the coyote's self control had happened then, but it was a reasonable one. Haku Soul had crossed the line with him. Once that line was crossed, there was no going back. Onus was not the kind to change his opinion about someone once they were on his wrong side. The only time his gaze left the brown brute was when that raven cawed and perched itself in a nearby tree. The man did not care for that one-eyed bird. Something wasn't quite right about it. It reminded him of Corvus too much.

Haku went on to question why Onus had attacked him that day. Was the man that daft? The vigilante had had adequate reason to attack the slime and he knew there were more reasons than the ones he knew. This man was a serial criminal. He had done bad things much and he had done them often. The coyote had no questions in his mind about that. But it seemed that Onus had not been the only one to not tell Cwmfen of their previous encounter. He turned his attention back to the wolf. "I attacked you because you are a criminal. You raped one woman and then murdered an innocent mother and her child and desecrated their bodies. No doubt you've done other such atrocities." In the first instance if he had just killed the woman Onus wouldn't have taken issue. Avenging the deaths of his sister's children was one thing. A life for a life. But rape was something entirely different. There was never an excuse for that crime. He ignored the question about his name. He did not give his name to the likes of Haku Soul unless there was a purpose in it, and there was none here.

His eyes glance back to Cwmfen for a moment, then back to the brown man. What he was about to say was more for her benefit than his, but he would say it in front of this creature nonetheless. "My intentions of coming here had nothing to do with you and everything to do with Cwmfen." Onus never lied and even if Haku did not believe him he knew that she would. The two times he had stepped across those borders a thought of hunting down the man and attacking him had not crossed his mind. That would have been a betrayal of the trust that she instilled in him and he would not do that.

Haku did not fill in people with information that they did not need, or that he felt were of insufficient importance. The Adonis and the Lilium were not creatures that held eachothers’ souls close, so there was no reason why he should have voiced such a thing as a pathetic, costume-wearing moron playing super hero. ‘Souls had its amount of lunatics, like every other place with a blooming society. His eyes rested on the coyote as he explained why, and the Lilium breathed an emotionless smile out to linger on those dark lips. ”And the man that provided you with that information, quite the monster himself, with more blood on his hands than me, he is innocent and untouched by your righteous fire?.” Innocence, what did it truly mean. Who were to decide who was and who was not? How could the masked man stand there and judge him and no others, if this was what he was doing for a living? Rather disappointing. ”They are only as innocent as you believe them to be, although it will be nothing but an illusion brought to life by a fool with an optimistic heart.” the man purred. However, Retribution was wrong. ”As a matter of fact I have not done other such atrocities, but your righteous sources have probably told you otherwise, because I was the only one that stood up against a clan that has slaughtered people for years.” This puzzled the chocolate man slightly. Truth be told, Haku was not the worst creature around, but the other man seemed to take advice and knowledge from that particular direction. He did not know, but was fairly certain that the dressed up coyote had visited Inferni and its Aquila.

More words entered the tense air, but his impoliteness did not pass by unnoticed. ”Your intentions matter very little to me as long as you stand on my territory, and that might very well make it my business.” The cocoa male looked over to Cwmfen, disappointment burning deep in him, yet there was no hint about this fact. ”I do not control your personal life, but I do not want this creature in Dahlia de Mai.” He paused then, waiting for Cwmfen’s next reply. Would she defy him? It was more than likely, but Haku had just a tiny bit more authority than her in these lands, and he really did not want to have the dressed up wannabe superhero running around in the lands, no matter the intention. If they so desperately wanted to meet, then they could do so elsewhere.

Slight pp with Onus, if that’s okay, ^=^;;
500+

The explanation Onus gave was accurate—the woman did not doubt that such activities characterized the Lilium. She had joined Dahlia after many such occurrences had been committed, but the tales still existed, and so did the lives that resulted from his actions. Perhaps what was not understood was that the black fae’s own need for freedom allowed the presence of such things. There was a part of her that believed that if one could not defend oneself, one was to die. There was no question about it. And yet, it may have been ironic that her place as warrior had changed that view—indeed she was learning the way in which this society functioned and understood what was and was not acceptable. But the woman’s loyalty lay ultimately with the Rosea, and she exhibited her trust of Haku through his placement in the leadership. As Adonis, her purpose within the pack was merely to understand both leaders and to settle what could not be settled between them. As Warrior, she protected the pack. And she understood this quite well. Regardless of the past, she was to defend the pack, including Haku. And the Lilium, though she very rarely frequented his presence, had been made to curb his free tendencies; he had been diligent enough. But that was all she knew.

Haku’s counterclaim of innocence may have fazed another soul, but the warrior knew that such words would not affect the coyote. Onus’ view upon the world was very clear, perhaps even extreme. But it was this view that allowed him to function as that Champion of Justice. It allowed him stability and a clear mind that others could not achieve—even Cwmfen did not hold that kind of clarity. Her view was quite lax in comparison. And so, knowing this, the woad marked fae briefly took her eyes from the Lilium to gaze upon the coyote as he spoke of intentions. A soft smile graced her maw. She knew that the urge to find Haku within these lands had crossed his mind more than once, perhaps even when not upon these pack lands. The fae understood his restraint and was thankful of it and of him. And so, when Haku spoke once more, it made her job very difficult. The Raven crawed thrice as if in mockery of the monotheistic omen of treachery.

Suddenly, fluidly, the woman rose. "Alright," that alto melody rang clearly in the air. The woad marked fae turned to the tree, her strides carrying her easily as she reached for the blade Badb that leaned alongside the Raven Spear. And returning, the woman stood before the cocoa male, looking down upon the secui’s form with those quiet, white eyes that held no extremes, that searched quietly the blue orbs of her leader. And for a moment, as she stood there between the two males, it was uncertain what it was that she would do. She watched Haku for a moment longer before she turned abruptly, barring her arm against the coyote’s chest as she pushed him against the tree, holding him their with a strength she knew he could surpass and with the sword’s point at his throat. Her eyes were fierce as they pierced through the cloth, and there was a flicker of apology that was revealed only to the coyote. She knew that she must have seemed to him like a mindless slave obeying her master, but she did what loyalty bid, and for now there was no given reason to find that loyalty broken. She stood there in silence, holding him there as if waiting for someone to signal to procession or the change, as if requiring such a thing to move her from that place she did not wish to be.

Awww, she hurt his feelings. Slight PP with me too.

Fool. He didn't understand. Trying to explain it would be useless. He was scum, and no scum had ever understood the purpose with which Onus lived. "Have my suspicions about that hybrid. As of yet have heard no evidence of any of his crimes. If I do I will treat him no different than I did you but I do not attack without proof." It was the simple truth. If he were to find out some of the wrongs committed by Gabriel he would go after that man just as he had gone after Haku. Criminals must be punished everywhere. The coyote held no ties or allegiances to any group. The only person he had a tie to was the woman sitting at his side. "They were innocent of any misdeed against you. Surely at least the child did not deserve such a fate." No child deserved to have happen what this man had done to that pup. "He told me of no other specific crimes. I say that because I know your type." No matter what this man said, Onus had a gut feeling and he did not ignore those.

Then it was commanded that he was no allowed in these lands anymore. He had expected that it was only a matter of time before this happened. As Cwmfen rose he expected her to tell him he must leave. If she had he would have. Not for this mutt before them, but for her. So she would not be forced to do anything more against him. But when she strode and grabbed her sword, forcing him back against a tree and holding the point to his throat, a dark look entered his hidden eyes. What was this? All this day he had made no aggressive moves towards her supposed master, and yet a simple verbal command was not enough? She had to take arms up against him? While there was no outward sign, that wounded him. While the physical part of the sword was hovering near his skin, the other part of it had pierced him deep. Slightly the corners of his mouth turned downward. Only she would notice the change, but he knew she would.

Quickly, yet gently, his hand shot up and grabbed her wrist that held the sword moving it away from his neck. He moved away from the tree and quickly released her, as if her fur scalded his hand. Onus turned his back on both of them and marched his way out of Dahlia. If she ever wanted to see him again, then she would have to be the one to find him.

Evidence? So, if Haku revealed what he knew about the hybrid, would Retribution ever treat that as evidence? The man could impossibly be able to determine what was truth and what was lies. The man was hard at judging others it seemed, but would he ever manage to turn his eyes on himself? The next words made even lesser sense. ”Just as I am innocent of any misdeed against you, if that is how you chose to see the world.” the costumed man believed he was above that? That he could freely judge other creatures? That would not be very fair, now would it? Haku could claim those same rights, and as for the child, he had preferred wiping the creature out before sin would darken its life. Haku saw little difference between adults and child, and so it had not been a hard task to watch the child slowly wither away at the end of the rope. It had been rather pleasant. They had been Inferni, and that was their crime.

The coyote revealed that he knew the chocolate Dahlian, and he could not help but smile mockingly at the male, at his arrogance, regardless of the truthfulness of the statement. Nothing more was said before the man suddenly was pinned against the tree by the dark Adonis. He was slightly surprise, and perked his dark ears slowly as he stared at them, wondering how Cwmfen felt. He wanted the man killed, but that would be to reach for something that could not be achieved by requesting it of her. The blue eyed man knew little about the exact relationship between the two creatures. Maybe it was just sex, maybe some more. As the man brushed her hand away and started walking away, Well, one thing the Lilium had to admit, Retribution had a good taste for females.

”By the way, Retribution, you sure have a good taste in females, she’s a rather lovely one, isn’t she? Magnificent in every way.” the second last word sounded poisonously in the air, more than suggesting what he meant by that. It was true, she had been a good fuck, exceptionally so because of her lack of experience the night he took her.

Poor Onus, OnO
500+

The sword hummed quietly in her hand, that song of war faltering as that brief moment passed. The white eyes watched the place where she knew those black eyes lay, wishing that she could know what occurred there. But she knew that even if those eyes had been lain bare, she would have seen nothing while in the presence of the Lilium. And perhaps she did not deserve to see what moved behind that mask. The woad warrior’s eyes saw that imperceptible change upon the coyote’s maw, and the beating of her heart wavered, recoiling from herself. Yet, despite that her gaze did not falter, did not waver, and held him there with the same intensity of the point of the sword. Mucro, her mind thought suddenly—or perhaps the sword did. Sword tip. The woman knew, from that seemingly irrelevant gesture, that she had pierced him. Yet still she did not waver, unable to turn back now and able only to be that still, silent warrior of Dahlia.

Onus moved suddenly, but she did not flinch or respond in any other way. And his touch was surprisingly gentle. Where the woman would have felt no conflict of duty, this coyote brought such conflict upon her with that single, merciful touch. She allowed him to push her hand away, taking a step back as he released her and walked away. Haku said something, calling after the masked man, but she heard only the sounds and not the words. The white orbs followed him in silence, her blade lowered now and humming quietly, undisturbed now by the distance that continued to draw between them. And then he was gone from her sight. The woman turned away, returning the sword at its place by the Spear. The ferocity of her gaze was relinquished, placed alongside the sword she had deposited. There was a quiet emptiness within her, and yet it did not break through the tranquility of her soul. While her soul sang a disheartened song, that tranquility was not diminished, leaving the woman to contemplate her actions. Perhaps there were times, she decided, when words spoke more clearly than action.

Cwmfen returned to stand before the chocolate male, returning to the seat she had only moments before taken. The words of the wolf caught up with her, ringing in her ears more clearly in this silence than it had been in the moment of their speaking. Briefly, the woman wondered at that comment, but she was silent as her white gaze, holding no hint of the conflict, and perhaps even pain, that riddled her mind, lifted to search those blue eyes. "I hope that this will be enough," the soft melody rang. "I hope that in the future, my loyalty will not be questioned or doubted." And her gaze sought the blueness, seeking something, a silent question within them. Once he had seen her differently, and now.... it was as if he did not look at all. Once he had called her his friend, but she no longer felt such an acute relationship. Indeed, she felt that she could trust him and he could trust her, but it was somehow.... Different.

Pfth, he deserved it for being mean to my mental baby!! >:///

What did she see in the other man, the Lilium wondered. The man spoke of justice and innocence, yet his words contradicted his actions. Or, perhaps it was that the other male had his beliefs, but that he himself was above that rule book so that he would be able to roam freely and do his deeds, yet be able to judge and punish others for similar acts. It sounded foolish in the chocolate and cream man’s head, but hopefully he would not have to deal with the super hero anytime soon. His calm, blue gaze returned to the black female as she spoke her words, and he simply rewarded her with a brief nod. There had been doubt, but it had more or less evaporated when the woman had brought the blade up to her lover’s throat. However, this whole situation could have been far more fortunate if things had gone the exact way he wished for. There were many spider webs that had yet to be spun.

He turned to leave, yet there was hesitation. ”As long as he stays outside of Dahlia’s borders, I will be content. Well done, Adonis.” was his last words before his legs started to carry him away, swiftly. It could possibly be seen as a rude way to exit the scene, but the Lilium had nothing more to say, and he had nothing to bring clearance to her questioning gaze. She had made her choices and so had he. Things did not always work out, and though his face could only expose friendliness and trust, he had his own plans in which she was involved.
