This post is fail, and I couldn't think of a title either. D:

Some could find this particular hobby rather disgusting, but Halo found only pleasure in it. They had started gnawing on each other, and some lives had started to falter and perish. There were three small corpses in front of her. One seemed to be merely asleep, though so skeleton thin that the cause of death was obvious. Second and third were chewed to bits, most of its flesh and entrails gone. The young Inferni girl held a fourth rat in her grasp. She was using a scalpel to slowly clean the small bones clean of skin, blood and whatever else. The dull sound from blade against bone danced cheerily in her ears. They were starting to get desperate, and she loved watching the fights between life and death. If the performance was enjoyable enough, the hybrid girl waited a bit before removing the corpses from the cages so that the rodents could get a few mouthfuls first. After all, her heart was not all ice cold.

The tiny skull was almost clean, despite the fact that it was crimson red with the blood. Occasionally her eyes would wander up to gaze upon the bleached skulls on the stakes along the borders. More than anything she wanted a proper canine to do this to. The girl hummed cheerily while working, her mind working the topic over repeatedly, imagining working on larger prey.

Jeg elsker deg! <33333

Her recent trip to the beach had been a pleasant one. There, a golden-eyed hybrid named Jael had kept her company. Lillith generally avoided other canines; preferring not to socialize with commoners. But there was something about Gabriel’s followers that piqued her interest. They weren’t like other packs; something about the bond they shared was fascinating. Her pelt had absorbed the salty smell of the sea, and sand still clung to her dark locks of hair. Thoughts of her blue-eyed beau invaded her mind, time and time again. She yearned to feel his touch and the excitement triggered by his tainted soul. The ashen femme knew he had things to take care of though, hence why she did not seek him out just yet.

Despite the animosity between wolves and coyotes, the madwoman had yet to make an enemy. Inferni did not seem to mind her presence, which was a little surprising in itself. Lillith took the Aquila’s indifference as permission to roam about. Of course, she’d never actually stepped over the borders either. The clan couldn’t reprimand her just for getting close to their home. The distinct sound of a blade brushing against rough material tickled her senses, alerting her of another canine’s presence in the vicinity. It was music to her ears. As she neared the source of such a beautiful sound, a young coyote’s form became visible; her red-hued eyes gleaming dangerously in the sunlight. And judging from the activity she was involved in, they both had similar taste in hobbies. “Having fun?” she quipped from a distance, making sure not to set paw over the invisible boundaries set by Inferni.

The girl lifted the tiny little skull (detached from the rest of the body now, she wanted to make a necklace today) up and turned it slowly to take in the pink and red piece of bone. Lovely. She smiled and laid the little head down, starting to scrape away on to the neck and spine of the headless piece of rodent. Her ears flickered delicately. She was not entirely sure if it was her imagination or not, but she imagined she could actually hear the music from the ocean carried along by the strong breeze that caressed her back. Her tail wrapped itself tighter around her crossed feet. Although the clan lands held little action for her, it was not entirely unpleasant to live her. In many ways, it was much better than living together with Vitium and his lies. Here she could find her own truth and create her own life. She appreciated those options more than anything.

Besides, it was not as if she could not create some drama on her own. That was what the rodents were for, yes? The lands were full of the lesser creatures that was choking Inferni and forcing it to keep a low status. If the coyotes had not been heavily outnumbered, she knew they would have been on the far top of the food chain. Hopefully, one day, they would. A question came from nowhere, and when the youth lifted her gaze to scout for the owner of the voice, she found it instantly. A dark woman stood on a good distance, at the borderline. The girl’s eyes contracted slightly in instant suspicion. The Lykoi threw the scalpel and the small corpse away and got up on her feet slowly, yet with that elegance that never seemed to leave the hybrid.

”What do you want, wolf the girl snapped harshly back, far from friendly.

How predictable. This never-ending rivalry between cousins was growing quite troublesome. It seemed as though people refused to evolve, no matter how many years went by. Although Lillith was far from a saint, she thought it senseless to criticize others based purely on their species. Only behavior and personality determined whether they were worthy of respect or not. Her body tensed considerably when the teenager’s voice was filtered by her coal receivers. The tone she’d used was surprising, especially coming from such a young and delicate-looking creature. A hypocrite too, from the looks of it. It wasn’t blatantly obvious but wolfish traits were definitely present amidst the girl’s features.

“Nothing in particular, hybrid. she responded nonchalantly. Lillith’s tone could’ve been deemed cheeky; she merely mirrored the youngster’s attitude in order to get her point across. The ashen femme wasn’t looking for a fight, nothing about her demeanor pointed to such desire. Whether the coy-wolf chose to see it as such was entirely up to her. Turquoise orbs drifted over to the corpse and scalpel her interlocutor had so carelessly thrown away. The madwoman was obviously intrigued by their purpose, and she made no effort to hide her curiosity this time.
There was an awkward silence, just because Lillith wasn’t one to ask questions. Curiosity was eating her alive and yet, she made no comment pertaining to the girl’s hobby. Perhaps once they developed an affinity for each other (if that was even possible), they would be able to discuss it. “I’m Lillith. Gabriel’s dad was a friend of mine.” Pointless bit of information, but at least she was being civil.

Halo was a hypocrite, though it was quite possible that she was not aware of this herself. When it came to outsiders, whether they were wolves or coyotes, she seemed to have an on and off switch that greatly determined the outcome of the situation. Halo had willingly let the doggish hybrid in Halifax embrace her, but that was back then. Right here and now Halo had no such plans. She only wanted to see the back of that black female. She looked somewhat creepy, plus she had a delicate look. That ugly, scarred female she had found in that freshly made pack land had mostly only received pity and little else from the dark hybrid. She had been ugly while Halo had been beautiful: not worthy of Halo’s sharper and crueller words. Perhaps it was an odd way to think and act, but Halo was not your average teenage girl. Or maybe she was just that: filled with hormones and a short, rapidly changing temper without any respect whatsoever for other creatures unless they had the power to lessening her general life quality.

The way the word hybrid was spoken by the ebony wolfess made the youth’s lips twist disgustingly. The rage filled her up and turned the edges of her vision slightly red. The detectable curiosity about Halo’s hobby was barely noticed at all. The next words from the wolf puzzled and intrigued the youth, but she quickly emptied her face to make place for that visible resentment. Halo knew disturbingly little about her grandfather, Ahren de le Poer. Still, she felt she could not completely swing from hostility to open curiosity without some extra dance moves first. She huffed and folded her arms over her ribs before shooting words back at the other female. ”Ahren was a wolf, and that should not automatically give you the right to wander about this close to our borders.” Despite her will to keep that hostile tone, it was slightly slipping. Only with that little piece of fact, Halo wished to get to know this woman better.

A vengeful flicker was noticeable in the hybrid's eyes of crimson. She was a typical teenager; quick to react and throw her weight around, as if doing so would make her worthy of respect. It was the exact opposite. Lillith could feel a pinch in her chest; a distinct sign that annoyance had begun to materialize within her. One of her front paws retracted slightly, purposely adding to the distance between them. Thavardo’s follower would turn away in a heartbeat, should the little brat ever feel the need to exert whatever authority she possessed. Her reaction had nothing to do with fear though. She simply could not be bothered with a hormonal teenager. The Aquila was probably impressed with his hound in the making; blindly devoted to Inferni, quite the bully, and noticeably lacking any common sense.

The adolescent stated the obvious by referring to Ahren as a wolf. No matter how inoffensive the comment might’ve been, it was the tone she’d used that made Lillith’s hair stand on end. Insolent little snot! Did she not understand how important he was? The madwoman flinched as if she’d been struck across the face. She remained silent though, regarding the young Lykoi with disdain. But in the end, no matter how bothered she really was, her tone of voice remained impassive. “No, it doesn’t. But Gabriel certainly doesn’t seem to mind,” she countered promptly, in reference to the Messenger’s hospitality. Lillith hadn’t trespassed and thus, could not be reprimanded just for being “too close”. She had every right to thread upon neutral lands. Explaining this to the younger femme was rather pointless though. Doing so would more than likely grant her the opportunity to spew some more garbage.

Halo’s fluffy chest was pushed forward in a disgustingly arrogant manner, her eyebrows superiorly staying with the black woman. She misjudged the black femme’s silent reactions as in fear or respect. The Lykoi offspring proudly marched a little bit closer, and positioned her copper, coal and cream form next to a skull. A bitchy, superior smile shone in her face. This was her land, not the wolf’s, la laaa lalaa la. Her dark tail was lowered slightly and started to sway elegantly behind the pretty teen. Ears folded sideways in a rather lazy manner. Halo truly knew how to be her snobby self. A hand was put to rest on her hip and the other ruffled her dark hair. As the girl’s fingers brushed through her silky locks, she realized that their hairstyle was almost identical. Ruby eyes widened, then narrowed instantly when she decided that she had to do with some kind of copy cat. Halo had found her ideal hairstyle all by herself, so all that had found a similar style had to be people attempting to imitate her beautiful and throughout appearance.

She did not care about Gabriel at the moment. She had not heard about any wolves that had the right to wander about in Inferni as they pleased. If the doggish Aquila caught her in action as she fucked about with wrong person, then she could always insist that she was unaware of it all. Wolves were liars anyway, were they not? ”Gabriel is not here. I am here, and I mind.” the girl said, leaning lightly towards the skull. Her voice was now a light, cheery melody with playful tones. Suddenly the girl’s hand (the one that had played with her scene hair) shot forward elegantly, allowing the palm and delicate wrist to face upwards. She was wearing one of her favourite bracelets, one with hollow pieces of spine and a lonely skull. It was the same wristlet that she would wear when she was to discover that Kaena Lykoi had returned to the clan. ”Look, is it not pretty?” Suddenly the atmosphere on Halo’s side changed. She wanted the woman to see how skilled she was, just because she wanted praise.

This girl gave annoyance a whole new meaning. It normally did not take much for the madwoman to brand someone a sinner; prissy adolescents like the Lykoi child certainly deserved it more than others. Flaws could easily be found in every living creature. In Halo’s case, vanity would be the cause of her downfall. According to the capital vices (the seven deadly sins), unjustified boasting of the sort was associated with Lucifer himself, and was punishable by death. Vanagloria, one of the six hateth by the Lord,” she recited loud and clear, coal-tinted lips stretching into a contented smirk. Perhaps in due time, Halo would understand how futile and unimportant beauty truly was. Those ornaments of hers, be it clothes or jewelry, were worthless. Gabriel’s subordinate wore jewelry to impress, while Lillith wore hers in allegiance to the clan.

The lack of respect in the youngster's tone of voice, especially when she spoke of the Aquila, did not surprise the loner. It made her question Gabriel’s judgment; how exactly did this teenager contribute to Inferni’s wellbeing? Aquamarine orbs swept over the elegant curves composing her body. She had been blessed by the Gods when it came to beauty; an Aphrodite in the making. But how valuable did that make her? Her body was inexperienced in battle, and she was no diplomat in the making. A pretty girl lacking a proper brain and personality was as good as dead. “I don’t care if you mind or not, child.” she countered, emphasis carefully placed on the last word spoken. Respect had to be earned and in this case, the crimson-eyed adolescent was behaving no better than a brainless goon.

Out of nowhere, her tone of voice had changed. It was lighter, almost friendly. This caught Lillith off guard. As the hybrid brought forth her wrist, the ashen femme’s smirk instantly morphed into a cautious snarl; above lip curling upwards, revealing a row of tainted fangs. But her instinctual reaction receded soon after the girl’s question rang clear. “All those trinkets, they cannot overshadow your soul’s repulsiveness. But you could rule the world by adding tact and refinement to your personality.”

This woman had to be crazy or something. Halo’s oversized ears first perked, and then flattened at those words she did not understand. The girl had not said such words because she lacked respect for the Aquila. It was lack of trust and respect of this black and odd woman. Halo would not believe those words until the Aquila himself confirmed such a fact. The black wolf said that she did not care about what the Inferni member said, and Halo’s cheeks grew hot and red. If that woman would not go soon, she wondered if it actually could be an idea to bark out intruder. Despite her anger, a smile danced on her delicate lips. ”Do the deed and walk over the border and I’ll make sure you’ll be so sorry, you fucking hag.” She hissed out, baring her blistering white teeth.

What could this woman know about repulsiveness? Halo was just watching the fucking borders and was not about to believe some crazy looking woman’s words. The last sentence from the woman confused the girl, and she failed to understand what the woman meant. She was not about to admit such a thing openly thought, and just folded her arms grumpily and stared cruelly at the other. Stupid retarded wolves that thought they were so amazing. "Jealousy does not fit you well." Clearly the bitch was jealous. Halo KNEW that this was a well crafted bracelet. The black woman was just speaking foul words because her wrists held no trinkets.
