morning's brighter

Zana had finally made herself a nice nest in a large partially hollow tree, the huge knot that served as her entrance in the trunk where the limbs began to branch off had been cleaned and made smooth. Zana herself had just slipped out of the hollow and had shaken the bits of cotton and down from her fur. She'd taken to plucking the soft feathers from the seagulls and lining her home. It was steady work but it had finally paid off. She didn't believe that anyone had a softer bed than she.

The young Lykoi sat up in one of the branches and began to pluck the little bits of fluff that hadn't escaped her pelt. Tidying her fur and tightening the bow on her tail she wondered if perhaps it was time to find some more ribbons. She hadn't gone to the city in quite a while and probably needed to find some brighter ones atleast, this one had begun to show dull and there were many snags and spots where the ribbon had been unraveling. She sighed and hopped back to the entrance to her nest to retrieve her pouch and the small array of weapons and poisons that were her warfare now.
