private for Tokyo, set in the Pirata Grotto of the Shattered Coast, if that's okay? :3 He's shifted, if that's okay. 304 words.

He had ventured into the cave and, judging from the beautiful water he now was looking at longingly, he certainly did not regret having done so without even so much as checking it out carefully beforehand. The water as an absolutely breath-taking color, and Vigilante could not deny its beauty. He was one to love the aesthetically pleasing, but this just went beyond expectation. He had entered the cave in the sunlight hours, so he supposed that the light outside must have had something to do with the beauty of the water. Regardless, it was beyond gorgeous, and he did so wish that he had someone to share such a sight with. You would have loved this place, Sister, he thought sadly, pausing for a moment to mourn his sister in the glory of the water.

The boat in the back of the cave was interesting, but he did not think it something that was entirely up his alley. Human things were still strange to him, and he couldn'y help but be incredibly wary of them. As it was, entering strange caves was not something he normally did, either, and he could only do so many things in a daay that were foreign to him before he became a little bit too uncomfortable with the situation. Everyone in the pack he had come to live in seemed completely comfortable with the human things, but he had not yet come to feeling that comfortable with them. Though he had found a small house on the outskirts of the pack lands and had taken up a semi-permanent residence within the house, he often chose to sleep outside, curled in his lupus form for comfort. He had so much still to get used to, the curly-tailed man knew, but clothes and houses and ships? Still too strange.

Yup yup, it all works for me! Big Grin. 516 words. sorry for long. XD

Tokyo had been feeling a fair bit constrained by the pack lands. She had been too chastened by the fact she was banned from Crimson Dreams, and it was silly, there was plenty of land outside Dahlian territory that deserved her attention. So she had struck out south. She had already traversed the shores that Dahlia owned numerous times. And while they were still lovely and now had the added bonus of an edge of familiarity, Tokyo wanted to explore, damnit. She was actually somewhat surprised with how quickly she reached the ocean again; they must be in some weird sort of peninsula thingy, or something. Usually the coast was in one direction, and a ton of try land in the other. But no, here was the ocean.

The shore was much rockier here than the Dahlian beaches; it reminded her fondly of the dangerous Lightning Bay where she had fearlessly played as a child. It was her childhood memories, in fact, which had her carefully eying the rocky barrier, searching for the tell-tale signs of caves. Tokyo had been quite adept at picking them out, and she would be incredibly surprised if that was a skill that had slipped out of her grasp. Nope, there! Halfway submerged, the gaping darkness promised secrets and adventure.

A quick appraisal of the lapping ocean convinced Tokyo that she should probably wait; the tide was dropping, and adventure or not, she didn't really want to get soaked if possible. It took quite a long time to brush her fur to satisfaction, and while she didn't really mind doing so, it did get a bit tedious when performed frequently.

She sat patiently, lulled by the soothing breezes and caws of the sea birds as they dipped, pulling out shimmering fishes from the blue blue sea. And then the water was down, and not only did she find the mouth of the cave exposed, but a path! Tokyo wasn't sure if this was a good thing or not. It might guarantee there was something worth seeing inside, but it did diminish somewhat her accomplishment in finding whatever it was, if others had done so before. It was less of a private beauty. Well, whatever, she wasn't actually going to let it dissuade her from entering, especially not after she had given up some of her time waiting. Easily clambering up the path (and only getting a small splash of sea water on her green woolen dress), Tokyo stepped inside.

Oh wow, if she had thought the water outside was rather blue blue, this... Was certainly distracting enough that she didn't actually notice the other quiet figure admiring the same thing. Her golden curls danced lightly in the sea breeze that she wasn't quite far enough in to escape. Her green woolen dress clung tightly to her, slightly damp from the moisture in the air - it had always been too small. Her ice blue eyes glittered in amazement, reflecting the royal blue of the cavern in a swirl of aqua. Yeah, she cut a pretty striking figure. Her arrogance was annoying, not unfounded.

343 words.

His attention was drawn away from the gorgeous water for a moment by the figure that had joined him in the cave. The light inside was dull, but he could clearly see the woman who had joined him, and the green dress that clung to her in a most enticing manner. Her hair was a marvelous golden color; had he ever seen such a spectacular color? Thoughts of other females vanished, as they so often did when he met someone new to admire. His eyes traveled over her silently, taking in every curve that was accented by the clingy material of the dress. She smelled of a pack, and it was not Cour des Miracles, but that did not matter much. Hanna had not been of his pack, either, and there was no harm in being friendly with her, was there? A smile slid over his muzzle coyly, his thoughts drifting together as he studied her body once more. Whoever this woman was, she was a very lovely one.

It seemed as if she had not noticed him, which was perfectly acceptable, in his eyes. It gave him some time to look her over without any of the awkwardness that often accompanied such a thing upon first introduction. Vigilante very much liked being able to appreciate the female body, as it was a rather exquisite thing on its own. Coupled with lovely features, it was well worth any awkwardness that came along with it. When he had decided he had studied her enough, taking in every detail as she marveled at the pool he had nearly forgotten, the mixed man dropped his arms nonchalantly to his sides and sauntered up to her, smiling as he leaned against the wall of the cave next to her in a most relaxed manner. “It’s quite a lovely view, isn’t it, Miss?” he asked, holding out his hand to take hers. He had read some things of men kissing the hands of beautiful women, and she was certainly beautiful enough to grace his lips with.

I am such a slow! I'm sorry. Sad. 311 words.

Tokyo was startled from her fascinated admiration of the beautiful cavern by words spoken in a deep, silky voice. Her suspicious nature made her less than pleased by the prospect of company, but the politeness of his "miss" tempered that initial distrust. She wasn't sure where to place him, aesthetically, either. Her staring was less covert than his had been; she knew his attention was on her, but she blatantly examined him in the shifting, glittery blue light, trying to determine what exactly he was. His curly tail was weird. Part dog, maybe? She didn't know that many of those. His coat was very interesting in pattern, and as long as Tokyo's, which was rare to see. His mane was dark, and did not look like it was brushed too often, which she disapproved of. Altogether, though, she decided that the strangeness of his build and various features was more exotic and appealing than ugly. This, too, inclined her slightly more towards him. Pretty things were nice, and this rule was not limited to just objects but applied to other creatures as well.

"It is." She confirmed, as if she was the authority on the subject. Which, as far as she was concerned, she was. He held out his hand, but Tokyo had only recently figured out hand-shaking. Hand-kissing was sort of beyond her; humans had the weirdest gestures. His hand was at an odd angle for shaking, but she made do, grasping it and shaking his hand a little longer than the typical human did; she still didn't have the timing completely right. "What are you? I don't think you're a wolf." When Tokyo was curious about something, she didn't waste any time beating around the bush, and this case was no exception. She titled her head as she withdrew her hand, still admiring the pretty patterns on his fur.

She seemed wary of him, and Vigilante did not blame her in the least for it. Before, everyone had been wary of the hard-eyed man he had been, but now, when they were only wary of the stranger approaching them, he was still used to the reaction. When she took his hand, he tightened his grip firmly, but keeping his touch gentle and friendly. The way she held his hand did not make it easy for him to touch his lips to her hand, so instead, he just let the awkward shake fall gently between them, his hand lingering just a bit too long on her delicate one. His admiration of the water was momentarily forgotten as he studied her - such a lovely specimen of the luperci creature she was! - while she studied him, but the question she asked took him by surprise.

This woman was very perceptive, he could tell. Thus far, no one had questioned his heritage, although most that he met were wolves while he was very obviously not. Perhaps everyone was just used to seeing dog mixes like himself, but it was still curious that no one had even mentioned it. Perhaps they were all just polite. "You're very correct, Miss. My mother is a breed of dog called an Alaskan Malamute, and my father a breed called a German Shepherd, so I suppose I'm just a mutt of a dog," he joked, his tone light. He didn't mind his origins much, although he knew there were those who felt that wolves were superior. Hopefully, she was not one of those. "And am I to assume you're purely wolf, Miss. . .?" He left it open-ended for her to, hopefully, give him her name. "Your lovely fur tells me so," he added. Flattery usually worked in situations like this, where the other was possibly nervous, he had come to learn.
