ooc- Yeah yeah, I know I hate AW threads.. but Enigma needs more.

The golden bronze boy with the dusting of freckles had been patrolling along the stretch of woodlands on the clan's northeastern border. He had no clue what he was really doing anymore, he was still restless and had no real place in the clan, the lack of reason and duty caused him great distress as he watched his siblings appointed to new positions, their ranks showing their trust in the clan and perhaps that their maturity in regards to their younger sibling. Enigma didn't know how to grow up, he didn't know how to get passed the rage of emotions that the truth of his father had brought. To walk in the shadow of a traitor for the world to look into one's eyes and see the eyes of the past haunting them. He wasn't certain what others really saw when they looked at him, he wasn't even sure himself.

The young hybrid stood sharpening his claws against one of the pines in the woods, the flecking of bark off the tree as he stretched his long limbs brought a small bit of satisfaction to him as he claimed the lands once more for the clan. There had been no real reason for marking the tree except the fact that he wanted to, though now that he gazed at the lashing in the tender skin, the sap just starting to show, shimmering along the edges of the raw markings, he could find no good reason for what he had done. Had his scent even changed to that of the clan or was he still scented like some beast at the borders begging to come in. His ears folded back as he gazed silently up at the stressed trunk of the tree, once more lost in matters he overcomplicated.

hi!

She didn’t know what she was doing here. So far from home and almost lost in the strange land that surrounded her. Yes, she was only almost lost. The girl had a sense of direction, and knowing that she was heading in the opposite direction of home only made her kind of lost. The land was unknown and strange in every way, yet she wandered until the stench of pack rose to her nose.

The girl stopped, hesitating at the defined boarder that lay ahead and turned north. It was less prominent and less traveled. It smelled of Jael, the most recent of Inferni members for the girl to meet. Mati waited for the fear to rise from within, but it didn’t. Skirting the boundary the young woman was neither in nor out of the territory. It was a dangerous place, Mati knew and still she walked its line and felt no fear. Where the courage had come from was unknown, and where her sense went was a similar mystery.
