Set at Old Red. One only please Smile 300+

The day had started out sunny and so the little Marino girl had gone to play outside. She liked being outside, as long as it was nice out. There seemed to be a lot of butterflies out today and that made it just an absolutely wonderful day! Giggling the pup chased after her favorite little creatures. Of course she took care not to touch any of them. The lesson that she and Amata had learned that day still stood out starkly in her memory. It was a thing that she would never forget. She never wanted to make a butterfly go to sleep forever again. Still, that didn't mean that she couldn't chase after them and watch as they fluttered through the air though! The brightly colored wings filled her vision and made her ignore the darkening clouds above her.

It was only when the number of butterflies around suddenly seemed to turn to none that she noticed the angry looking sky. Swallowing hard her cream-tipped ears flattened against her skull. Oh noes, it was going to storm again. Nervously she looked around to see where she was, but the mansion was no where in sight. Cambria knew that it was not too far away and thought perhaps she could still make it home, but then a rumble in the sky made her yelp and cower. As she shivered in the grass, her ears ringing, large wet raindrops began to hit her back. The pup looked around for shelter and a large red structure caught her eye. Quick as a rabbit she ran for the building, afraid of what might happen if she stayed out in the open for any longer than she had to.

There were no doors on the large red thing, or at least if there were they were wide open. Cambria rushed inside, her little chest heaving as she looked back outside. There was a flash of lightning and with her tail tucked she went further into the building. The rain pounded loudly on the metal roof and the girl wanted nothing more than to be safe at home. But right now leaving the relative safety of this place wasn't even comprehensible. Shivering and curling up near one of the large stacks of hay the pup tried to imagine it was her momma or dadda that she was snuggling up against.

Up on the upper level of the Old Red, Flayra was sitting on a bale of hay, looking out of the window. The rain fell hard as it hit the metyal roof above. Thunder clapped from the heavens as heavy rumbling. It was raining sometime ago, now Souls is suffering a thunderstorm after massive rain fall. She hoped that those who were able to find cover were safe from the possible potential danger that was lingering around in the thunderstorm. She watched as the rain fell, looking through the wooden framed window.

She felt a chill from behind. She left the doors open, since she wasn't expecting any rain today. Jumping off the bale, she made her way down the wooden steps to the main hay stack. Going to the wooden doors, she closed them, locking them together so that they won't be opened by a gust of wind. Turning back to the stair, she noticed something among the hay stack. A patch of brown the differed from the hay. Approaching this patch, she found that it was alive, a pup. She watched as the poor little creature was shivering. She came closer, sitting next to the shivering pup. "Little miss, are you ok?"

As she sat there huddled by the strangely warm hay she tried to block out the angry noises of the storm outside. It sounded like a monster, though a monster bigger than she had ever imagined. Like it wanted to gobble up the whole world instead of just little puppies. The thunder boomed and rumbled and she closed her eyes. Maybe if she couldn't see the lightning the thunder wouldn't be so scary. It didn't really work though and with a small whine she tried to ball herself up even tighter. Cambria wanted her family. The storm wouldn't be able to hurt her if she were with them. But right now she was horribly alone. She hated being alone.

Cream-tipped ears pick up noises that were not coming from outside, but from inside. Sea foam orbs opened widely, startled by the fact that she wasn't actually alone. The pup sat perfectly still and refused to let any sounds escape her. Right now the other thing could be nice or it could be mean. She saw a white form descend from above and move towards the doors to shut them and her heart seized with fear. Was it Naniko? No, no she wasn't allowed to be here. Mommy had made her leave for having that awful, awful powder. Slowly her brain realized that this wolf was not as big as the old leader though and she breathed more easily, though she was still cautious.

Even though she was being quiet and still the other wolf still saw her and came over to her. Cambria swallowed nervously, but the words that came from the older lady were nice. She liked being called a little miss. "I...I's okay...jus scaweds..." she said with another shiver. Maybe she was going to get the company she desired after all, even if it wasn't who she had wanted.

Flayra was kind and gentle. No matter what, she was always doing her best to be friendly and meet new people without having to see them go. She hoped now to befriend with this pup, since she knew who it was. Cambia, or Combrian? Despite the name, she knew it was one of Savina's pups. Apart from not knowing or having a chance to have a proper acquaintance with Savina, she might be able to help this young up that was cold and looking for some warmth from the cold rain.

Flayra watched ther pup as she explained that she was scared. Well, it would be understandable, since the rain and thunder that can get so loud can be scary. However, though it is persistent until it stops, it wouldn't be something worth fearing over. "Yeah, it can be scary in the rain and thunder." She then wondered why this pup wasn't back at the manor. Maybe went for a walk and got caught in the rain. That appears to happen alot lately during the rainy seasons. "Does little miss have a name?"

Cambria nodded in agreement at the ivory female's words. Yes, yes it was scary. Especially when you were alone. If she were with her family then it would not be so scary, but she was not. She had been out all alone and the storm had come seemingly out of the nowhere. The pup did not like the loud noises that seemed to even shake her on the inside and made her heart beat quickly like a rabbit. It wasn't so bad now though, that she was inside somewhere and there was a nice packmate to keep her safe. She knew for sure she was a packmate because she had the same smell. "Yes, I'm Cambria. Who is you's?" It seemed that there were more members of Crimson Dreams that she didn't know than she had thought.

Another roll of thunder sounded and seemed to make the barn shake. Cambria whined loudly and ducked her head down, her large front paws covering her muzzle. Why wouldn't it stop? She just wanted it to go away! "Why's it so loud and scary? I dun likes it..." she said whimpering. It wasn't nice and the girl did not like things that weren't nice.

Flayra bowed her head as the young female gave her name. Cambria. That was the name Flayra was having trouble remembering in. At least now the pup wasn't alone. Flayra would be someone that the pup can trust for some protection. The white female would be happy to keep her safe in this barn at least til the rain stopped so they could head back to the mansion. Flayra was just so kind-hearted. "Nice to meet you, Cambria. I'm Flayra." the white female continued on.

Another clap of thunder, frightening the young pup again. The thunder seemed to be getting louder each clap that the heavens release. Flayra had grown to not fear the thunder claps. In due time, this pup will understand that there is nothing to fear about thunder. "These things happen. You get sunny days or rainy days. You never know if this is gonna happen."

Her little chocolate tail gave a quick little wag as the white wolf introduced herself as Flayra. That was a nice name, she liked it. It seemed to suit the older female well. "Tanks. Nices ta meets you toos Flaywa." Part of Cambria still wanted her family, but she was beginning to calm and get used to the company of the blue-eyed Dreamer. She was calm and nice and that was the kind of vibe that the pup needed right now. It was impossible to be calm if the others around you weren't calm, but since Flayra was she was soothed. Until the thunder sounded again, of course. It was still so startling and unpleasant, she couldn't help but react poorly.

The words that Flayra spoke didn't seem to answer her question or abate her fears. Cambria knew there were rainy days and sunny days and that you couldn't control that, but why was it so loud and scary? It wasn't always this way when it rained. "Why's it flash and boom thoughs? It dun always do dat. Rains not so scary, but dat is..." The thunder continued to rumble, but it was a little further off now and not quite as alarming. What made it do that sometimes and not others? Was the sky mad? If it was and was scaring her then the sky was being nothing but a mean bully!

OOC: OMFG I so sorry.

Cambria was also indeed a nice name. Flayra could see that the young pup was calm. That what the female would like since there was nothing to be frightened about. Maybe the rain and thunder, but not the female, since she wasn't some sort of a pup eating monster. Flayra was calm too. Maybe the pup was calm because the female was too. The female was always the calm one when it came to the forces of nature. She found that there was nothing to worry about.

Another clap of thunder scared the pup again as she asked about why does it have to make noises and flashes like that. That was indeed a difficult question to answer, but Flayra tried to think a good answer that would resonable. "Well, blue skies don't, but rain clouds do. It's like, the sky is not in a good mood and the clouds and thunder is a way of showing it off, I guess." Flayra explained it nicely, but she wondered if the pup would take it as an answer.

This time around Flayra offered an explanation for why the sky was booming like it was. So the sky had moods? That wasn't something that Cambria had ever considered before. She knew that she had different moods and other wolves did too. She even suspected that Leafy had moods too, though she had never noticed any changes in his behavior to indicate other moods. She liked to think that she did such a good job caring for him that he was just always happy and so had no reason to ever feel any other way. If the sky had different moods did the ground too? Or trees or flowers? It seemed if the sky could then anything could. Though she had never seen any other thing get so loud aside from something living.

"I didn' think da sky had moods..." she said, still contemplating this new information. Her gaze looked up to the ceiling of the barn, as if trying to pierce the wood so she could see the angry sky. "Why's da sky in a bad mood then? Did someones hurt it?" The pup couldn't imagine anyone even being able to hurt the sky, it was so big and far away! But there had to be a reason that the sky wasn't happy and was yelling as it was.
