Firefly had been digging out her new den for the past few days. She'd grown tired of living in the cold bitter shack and she knew that Leroy was going to be too busy to help her weatherproof the cabin. She'd decided to just dig a den instead of find another house for the winter. Often the woman shifted to her mobile optime form but she found it easier to just curl up at the end of the day and that had been what had caused her to decide to just go with the den.

She knew that Jac would probably have quite a few little comments for her on her choice of living but she really didn't care. She had quite a few little comments to give back to the man and she knew how to ruffle his fur when she wanted to. She was tempted to just crawl into his house one night and take over his bed and see what the king had to say about that but she had no clue who he had been sharing his nights with and to be honest, she wasn't that desperate yet. She preferred to keep him on his toes and tease and taunt the man, it was much more entertaining.

Hello! I’ve haven’t rped with you yet, have I? Nice to meet you! Smile

Just to be clear, no one can see or hear Cuhlain but Finn.

--------------------------------------------------

So who’s children are they, hmm? That tall, pirate’s? The one you so kindly ran away from after you gave yourself to him? Or the idiotic, three-legged collie’s? Cuhlain was busy at work, even now during the pale light of the cloudy day. Finn sighed, slashing angrily at the drunk of an innocent pine tree, scoring the bark deeply. Her belly had not yet begun to show that she was pregnant. To everyone the small bump could be explained off as a full stomach from all the good hunting in Cour des Miracles. Everyone except Finn and Cuhlain, that is. The she-wolf had only realized it a couple days ago, and had been moody ever since. Cuhlain had shown up soon after. It was like he was drawn to her misery as a vulture was drawn to carrion.

The breath that left her mouth clouded on the air, and she watched it dissipate. If she concentrated on something, Cuhlain occasionally faded into the background, or disappeared entirely for a time. But if had to be something interesting. Nice try, girl. He cackled, circling around her silently. His blue eyes glowed with eerie intensity as he stared her down. Finn couldn’t keep his gaze for long, and with a little, pained shrug she moved on. She could smell another wolf nearby, a real one, and she followed the scent. There was a figure digging in the hard earth, carving out a den. Finn stopped, leaning against a tree at watching the process. She could hear Cuhlain grumbling, but it was growing fainter.

Firefly had loved the feel of the dirt between her nails as with every stretch and scoop she made the old badger's nest bigger and wider. She'd already made it wide enough to move about in under the roots of the old tree but she hadn't finished yet. She knew that she would have to strengthen the dirt around the roots and make certain that she didn't upset the system that the old willow was a part of. She had been so busy that she hadn't even heard the strange new packmember approaching as she worked, the scent hitting her as an after effect when she'd come up for air and to clear out the dirt from the entryway.

She paused a second, sneezing as the change from stale warm air to crisp chilly air hit her. The scent on the air caused her to stop in her actions and shake the dirt and debrae from her pelt. Turning to gaze about she finally caught sight of the scarred up male as she frowned. The scent of the pack cling to her but Firefly had never met the woman. Stopping to lick the grit from between her toes she raised a brow and asked. "Anything I can help you with?" She really didn't understand why in the world the woman had been staring at her rump this whole time while she'd been widening her new home. Perhaps she perfered women to men, but it wasn't excuse enough to get caught in the act by Firefly.
