Seems like a dream

Pendzez sat on the front step of his cabin as he looked up into the sky. Pendzez was glad on this day. There wasn't really a reason. He was just happy. He had Xeris as his mate, but it wasn't just that. He knew that there was something she was gonna say to him about, but he knew that she would eventually say something about it to him. Pendzez was also worried about Rendall, who left not long ago. She wasn't even a year old, but she still left. Pendzez still had his doubts, but he knew that the spirits would watch over her in her journey. She will come back. He knew it.

Pendzez then stood up and walked back into the cabin, leaving the door open to let some air in. He hadn't really been in there long, but he was already was getting used to it. Against the wall was a a bed, next to it a night stand. His masamune was hung up on a sword rack that was nailed into the wall, his spears in a sack under the rack, the large sack of medicinal herbs were also near the bed. He customized the place to his liking, but there wasn't really much there. Besides, he was with Xeris now. What was his is now also hers.

The female had not been so much of an isolationist in her last pack, being a very social creature by nature, but something was different in this one. She was a medium-ranked wolf, one who ought to be going around, making sure that she knew everybody in the pack...but some things had prevented that. She had wanted to spend as much time as she could with Ehno when he was still around, not wanting him to go but figuring that he probably would eventually...and her pups had been born. They had kept her around the farm area, where she tended to the sheep occasionally.

She only had one of the little pups with her today, the one who she thought could use a little exercise. Caprica. The pudgy black puppy followed behind her mother, watching her back feet and keeping up with their movements as best she could. Now that they were getting older their true eye colors were starting to show--Caprica's were as deep a green as Naniko's. She would have looked exactly like the Valley wolf had it not been for her dark pelt. She looked very much like Naniko's father Roman in that way.

She was ambling about, not taking any particular course, when she came across a rather strong scent...or pair of scents. She had met Xeris before and had liked the female very much--they'd had a discussion about motherhood and puppies. Her tail wagged at the fond memory and the two turned toward the place that it came from. Maybe she would run into her again! A cabin began to come into view and she and Caprica approached it slowly.

"Xeris? Are you home today?"

Pendzez moved to his guitar, taking it by the neck and moved over to the bed. As he sat down on the soft blankets, he placed the wooden body of the guitar on his leg, the curve of the body resting on his thigh. He watched while he plucked the strings, finding that the instrument of out of tune. With his hand that was on the upper part of the neck, near the first fret, he moved his hand up to the pegs that was to tighten or loosen the strings into tune. Fiddling with each peg and listening to each string, he found the right tune for each, which now would play the proper chords each time.

Before he could start to play a tune, his ears perked up as he heard a voice outside. It was a female voice and a familiar. This voice seemed to be asking for Xeris, his mate. Has the female outside met Xeris? Possible with newcomers these days. Pendzez leaned the guitar up against the wall as he moved to the doorway, where the female came into view of the white male. "No, she's not, but I am. Good to see you again misu Naniko," he said as he took a noble and thoughtful bow before the female.
