Haku’s lips had twisted in light disgust when he had found Anselm de le Poer’s scent crossing Dahlia’s borders. This had been several days ago, but Haku kept on wondering exactly why the Inferni member would do such a silly thing. The chocolate coated Lilium had not known that the former second in command of the clan was back in the lands. This had woken him up from his slumber though. He had been too lazy gathering information from outside Dahlia de Mai. Now with Tokyo and Kol Stormbringer (once again) under him, it would be a small issue to refresh old knowledge without having to run the risk and do the field work on his own. Too many individuals were on his wrong side, and he was on theirs. He wondered if the things that were happening at Dahlia’s borders were something directed at him. A warning for the Lilium? Of what, in that case? He highly doubted that. Things were starting to run so much more smoothly now. Soon it was time to cleanse this land of the weak. Unfortunately some that should have been allies was to be eliminated first. Haku did not like to watch worthy potential be disposed of, but it was the only right thing to do. Soon, soon.

The scent of Cour des Miracles was starting to suggest for him to turn around. Although he was not exactly by their borders yet, he had no intention of scuffling away like a frightened rabbit. He was quite surprised the pack was still going strong, but he did not find it as surprisingly odd as Svara Thames had not stayed as sub-leader of those lands for long. Haku had never expected more from her. Some dark creatures held potential. Some did not. Perhaps Svara had had a true potential once, but she had seen herself as something more than she was and would never be able to become what she thought herself to be. Quite sad, but Haku had no problem with treating it as entertainment. That was what it truly was. Black nose touched the few grass stubs and investigated the fresh scent of a hare. It could be nice with a meal before it was time to go back to his pack lands. The secui started to move slowly, tracking the scent of the small animal that had passed here mere minutes ago.

Firefly had not even thought when she'd moved back into the same pace she'd lived before her short departure from the packlands. Patrolling the borders, freshening markers and greeting the new souls along their outskirts was almost second nature to her. She might not be the gentlest soul when it came to those that crossed her when her mood was foul but she hadn't killed any of them yet, nor really even offer anything more than a show of fang and a few snaps here or there. The Sadira woman had put most of her time and effort into the pack and helping Ruri with Jontae to keep her mind off of other lingering thoughts. Thing were going well enough for now.

It had been quite a time since she'd allowed another to spend time in her favor or in her bed, she actually couldn't remember the last time she'd even went that far. If she wanted to turn her thoughts back she could pinpoint who the last male but she didn't. She'd been trotting along the borders looking for trackings of deer and other larger game for the pack when a scent that was far too familiar cross her nose. She was puzzled at first but that turned into worry for the children of the pack, knowing what the monster was able to do. She tried to calm her nerves and relax her hackles as she moved forward beyond the borders to intercept the beast who had once been her mate.

Firefly was swift in detecting his scent and finding his trail, looping around the leader of Dahlia de Mai she came upon the chocolate hued hybrid from the front. Stepping out from behind some withering bushes Firefly's emerald orbs gazed out at Haku silently as she studied him. The male had gathered a few new scars since she'd last seen him but he still seemed the same beast. Her voice was husky and low as she spoke up finally. "Hello Haku..." She knew better than to let her guard down yet but she wasn't exactly certain that she had to.

The male was not at all surprised when the woman that had once thought of him as hers appeared. The male was displeased, still eager to trail down that rabbit and continue minding his business. He was not after Cour de Miracles’ blood today. Ears flicked towards his skull yet he produced a weak and obvious fake smile. Although she lacked manners he would not sink down to that level. The greeting stage was alright enough, but he would not be surprised if she started attacking him with that mouth again. That was all the harm she could do to him anyway; she was not strong enough to attack him physically. Appearance wise she looked dazzling as ever, but he knew the darkness under the surface. Such a shame she could not control it properly. She was however a better option than Svara Thames. The Lilium wondered exactly where the reddish girl had gone after she left the pack. It would never be too late to track her down and repeat the night of pain.

He was not sure how to respond to the female. He did not really have anything to say to his ex-mate. It was quite odd to go back in time one year and dwell on the memories of a couple. Did she know how her sons were by the way? Had she seen them at all? Haku saw them rather rarely these days, but he had always been quite awesome at avoiding other individuals. They meant close to nothing to him, though they did lift the pack count with two. That was good. Because of this Haku was not unkind to them, at least not anymore, but it was very clear for all parts that he would never be their father other than in the flesh. ”Good day, Firefly.” He supposed something random and neutral in response was better than nothing.
