Quote:He was hungry… his ribs showed through his thick dark brown coat. It had been so long since the pup last had a decent meal. Was his father really just out to kill them? Hayden had been the only “normal” pup in the litter, yet his curiosity got the best of him. His father had off and took his brother somewhere which only got him lost. He felt so useless! And he hated this feeling with all his might. The feeling of being useless and fragile was the worst feeling he’d felt before. Of course, he had so much more to experience. He was only a pup of three months.

Gulping down dry spit, he glanced from side to side with pure fear in his eyes. It had hit night and he wasn’t sure if anyone was out there that would hurt him. He felt so afraid for the first time in his life. The comfort of his family was no longer there. He was alone. Shaking, Hayden felt cold against the cold air or maybe it was just fear. He had found a quiet cave after a little days traveling and curled up between two rocks. The little guy just hoped that he wouldn’t meet up with anyone with pup on their menu.

He pulled his small body closer and dipped his head down onto his blistered paws. His tan, brown, and green tail brushed over the tip of his nose which sent the little guy sneezing. Trying as he might, he just couldn’t close his eyes. He didn’t want to close them and have some creature snatch him up. What’s worst, he had no one to protect him. Hayden had always been the arrogant bully when it came to his litter, but now… the bully has fallen to a helpless pup.

Wishing that he never left, his ears flickered backwards as he listened to the soft sounds of the waves outside. The ocean was so close, but so far away. He’d already found out that the water tasted nasty too and there wasn’t anything he could eat. He wondered if his mom was worried or even if his father was and they were out there searching for him. Hayden wanted to blink his eyes and then open them to see the comforting figures of his parents. Yet, when he did, all he saw was the dark cave and the sun slowly dipping away.

Quote:Ugh… his head felt like it was about to explode right then and there. So many riddled thoughts ran through that mind of his that he even started to lose count of them.  His thoughts running from cheerful to sad in mere seconds… imagine his face curling in a smile before dropping to a frown in a second before changing again. That was how he felt inside and it didn’t seem like it agreed with what he wanted at the moment. He wanted to be a bit selfish with this and think what he wanted to think. Yet, his mind just won’t allow him that much of peace. It just kept going over everything that has happened in the last two years. He could run over the events with just one word and anyone would probably understand. There wasn’t a reason for him to rant out though… just at anyone at least. His head was spinning around, but not in the good way. He just felt funny… almost like he was sick or something. That wasn’t possible though, he wasn’t sick physical at least. Maybe mental, but that’s just for another rambling story.

He bit back everything he wanted to scream out at the storm… just threw it out of his mind and locked it shut. There wasn’t a way that he’d be selfish. He’d probably flat out panic if a selfish word escaped those lips of his. His attention, however, moved onto an approaching figure that didn’t seem like he wanted to be noticed. It was an Aerkin… a Night Aerkin to be exact. Trig hadn’t seen one of those since he came back and showed his face finally. It has only been a month since he showed up… so it didn’t surprise him to not see one till now. But he was actually quite glad to see this beauty first. His hazel eyes stared at the black feathered wings, black coat with that random splash of off-white… and those violet eyes.  He couldn’t believe his eyes at first. The Arid had never seen such a simple, yet beautiful colored creature such as the male in front of him. He couldn’t help but stare at him while the Aerkin moved along. His mouth kept shut, but if it wasn’t; Trig would probably be drooling by now. Yet another sexy Aerkin… luck aren’t I? Oh shush! Naughty thoughts shouldn’t be riddled out right now. But it didn’t really matter since the little guy wasn’t a mind reader… at least Trigger assumed not.  Ah, super powers! If he could have a super power… he’d probably like the power to control his own thoughts. Yeah… that or be like Superman! Wait, Aerkin are already like Superman just without the almighty super strength of doom. Cool!

The storm clouds finally started to rumble and his ears perked as the first strike of lightning lit the dark sky. A low rumble started to build up in his throat as he stared upwards. His glaze flashed down at the Aerkin as concern lit his face this time. The poor guy wouldn’t be able to fly out of this mess! Rain just started to fall… spotting his fine coat with darker dots as they came pelting down like Roman warriors. Before he knew it, the first wave of attack came! The Aerkin seemed startled and even flew past him to cling to some rock. It really wouldn’t do much, but hey… Trigger really wasn’t going to stop him unless it became too dangerous. The Arid felt fine as the water slipped through his fur, but quickly found out that it wouldn’t stay just below his head. So, instead of just waiting around, the male glanced over towards the low, flat rock that his guest was standing on. It seemed like there would be room for his fat butt to come over there too… but he hoped that the little guy wouldn’t mind too much. Excuse me… He whispered lightly before hopping up just in time for the second wave to come crashing into it. His tail tip and hindpaws got a bit wet, but it wasn’t like they were dry to start off either.

The storm seemed to have freaked his little friend out quite a lot as he seemed to be doing a whole lot of shaking there. Trig could press up against him and tell him that it was okay… that he was there too and he would get them both out alive. But, he wasn’t sure how the guy would react to a male doing that to another male. Yet, there wasn’t anything wrong with gays. I mean, gay guys are hot after all… just look at Trigger here. Shhh… it’s okay. You won’t die or drown while I’m around at least. Take a deep breath and calm down! Panicking will only cause you trouble in focusing to get out of here. Just focus and find a way out, I’ll be here backing you up… okay?

Quote:Glancing from side to side, the pony stud’s muscles tensed as he lost sight of the one he was following. It had been awhile since he had last saw the black and purple stallion. Oh, Sam was truly weird. This all wasn’t some kind of ‘small crush’, but it was a crush to the point that even Sam went as far as stalking. That was creepy in any sane mind. He really was surprised that the larger stallion hadn’t even noticed him yet. Maybe he had already been spotted, but ignored. His olive eyes glanced down at the white covered ground as a few snowflakes continued to fall. He had lost sight of the one he was following… but it couldn’t be helped. It was a pure maze of pine trees! What was up with this town?! This kind of place was all cheery and shit, but really, it was creepy. And if anyone mistook him for one of those small, happy-go-lucky idiotic Holiday ponies again… he felt like he’d scream at that point. They were weird creatures and far too strange for Sam to even be compared. Oh, that was what he thought anyway. Plus, that frown on his face didn’t look anywhere close to those smiling idiots.

Shaking his head, he let his long, choppy mane hang over his eyes. What was he going to do now? There was a chance that he could go and find Talfryn – which is the name he decided to give the big guy – or he could continue standing there like an idiot. Glancing to one side before he glanced over to the other, he continued on in hope of finding Tal again. Sure, Sam wouldn’t be sure what in the world he’d say to the guy when he finally bumps into him. But, there was always the chance that he’d never bump into him. Sam was fine acting like a stalker for awhile before he’d give up. It kinda always happened like that. The ones he loved were watched from afar before they got themselves another lover with Sam heartbroken before moving on.  This time, however, he just had to fall for a guy! Seriously, what was wrong with him?! He’d only fallen for mares and, therefore, was straight… but why a guy now? Is this just a tease from old Saint Nickolas? Santa really could be mean.

He froze as soon as he spotted Talfryn bucking and kicking up snow while talking to someone called ‘Dani’. Wait… what?! Who was he talking to…? The stalker glanced around again only to find no one besides the two there. He didn’t know whether to be happy about that or not. His olive eyes softened as a small smile crawled on his lips as he watched the stallion play on his own. Sam even let it go far enough to let a small snicker out under his breath. The biting cold wasn’t in his attention anymore… he was only watching the one he loved for awhile. Once he turned his back on this scene… he won’t be back. He’ll give up on Tal just as he had given up on all the others. There wasn’t any way he’d accept such a short horse… but also a guy nonetheless. Tal probably had a ton of ladies that could become his lover. Yeah, so it’s alright. It couldn’t be helped though. He felt those hot tears crawling down his cheeks and swore to himself. Shit! I promised myself that I wouldn’t do this! It seems that I always break them… ha.

He looked up only to catch Tal looking at him. His eyes widened as he just stared in hope that those tears would stop. Of course, nothing would go his way. Sam just stood there staring in shock that Talfryn would even spare him a minute. Maybe it was his early Christmas present… or maybe it would have been better if the stallion never saw Sam in the first place. “Shit,” He whispered under his breath as he felt his skin warm up to the stallion’s glaze. It isn’t fair…!
