Cassius, being the normal shut-in he was, rarely was outside of his room, let alone the mansion. With nothing to do, and no gadget that needed working on, he decided to take a short walk outside the house. He thought that the fresh air will rid him of boredom. He was quite bored quite often, a problem that worried him. The only things he had to do were build traps for the war and help Anselm with that greenhouse of his. It seemed like much to do, but for Cassius it wasn't enough.
He ventured out into the woods known as the Forest of Nod. The midday winter sun blocked by the tree branches provided no extra warmth. Cass buttoned up his flannel a little and rolled down the sleeves. He wasn't used to the cold, although he didn't consider it a bad thing. The snow was very interesting to him, and a few days ago, took the time to make a snowman- or rather snow-wolf. He knew the snow would go in later months, however. Even in the North the wonderful snow was scarce.
The brown hued hybrid sat down on a nearby tree root, scooping up a handful of snow in his hand. He packed it together, making a slightly misshapen ball. He studied it, then decided to throw it at a tree about twenty feet from where he was sitting. Winding his arm back, he swung his arm forward, pegging the tree dead center. Cass' purple eyes looked around, looking for any others. Nobody was here it seemed. He chuckled and promptly picked up another handful of the white snow.
