Princess

The evenings were becoming lighter. The sun was done with its glorious show-off and had left the scene, although light still remained after its departure. Annoying bugs with wings bumped into his face. There were mosquito swarms dancing above the surface of the lake, although in return there was the occasional splash of fish. It was not often he tasted water game, but the Lilium was far from a magnificent fisher. He did not know how to catch fish in a lake without any tool, although he did know a technique that worked alright in rivers. As the wolf quickly extinguished his thirst while trying to ignore the annoying packs of flying insects, he pondered if he would be so bold to try to set a net somewhere longer north west in Oberon’s spring. It was manageable, the question was if the chocolate and cream man could be bothered with it as long as the land game showed no sign to gain brains.

The secui shook his head violently when he was done drinking, causing a sky of bugs to take off. Fuck, fuck, fucking insects. It always amazed him how short temper he had when it came to those little brainless things with wings. He was tempted to go into a small craze and snap wildly after the thick, moving clouds, but he did not really want them inside his mouth either. His skin itched, paranoid just like his mind. Haku turned and left the lake behind, wandering into the thick forest, and headed south to find the borders. He spent more time than necessary to patrol the borders. If it was just a way to occupy himself, he was not sure. It could be enjoyable, and the male had no particular hobbies he could freely perform without taking a life or two. He silently wondered where Lillith were, what she was doing. He was sure that she would have managed to come up with some fun.

This place was dreary, to say the least, and Princess was beginning to feel paranoid as she padded closer to the body of water. It was probably the disgusting swarms of bugs that were bothering her, but she couldn’t be sure. The sun was gone, but the light remained. That left enough to feel comforted, but she still was far from pleased. Perhaps her wary feelings came from the male standing near the water, and though she didn’t recognize him, he didn’t seem to lack the permission to be where he was. With the exception of his apparent unhappiness, he seemed perfectly at ease within the pack lands, leading Princess to believe (and quite correctly) that he was a part of the pack. Trotting closer, she craned her neck curiously to look at him closely, although this did nothing to alleviate her curiosity. She had not been given any descriptions or names of any adult males in the pack, so she couldn’t even make an educated - or uneducated - guess as to who this was.

“Hey! What’re you doing there? How can you stand to be so close to those gross bugs?” she barked, lifting her nose to the air. If he liked being around those gross little bugs, then maybe she didn’t want to be near him at all. Princess hoped he wasn’t too strange; it seemed like everyone she met here was strange. . . Well, Alexey seemed fine, and obviously, her mother was, too. Cmwfen didn’t seem all that strange, despite her name. And Catalyst was weird enough, but seemed harmless. That man with the cloth over his eyes had been strange, and one strange man was enough. Weren’t there any normal ones around here? Wrinkling her nose in distaste, Princess padded closer to the strange male. He didn’t smell like anyone else in the pack, with the exception of the general pack scent. “And what’re you doing out here all alone, anyway?” Asking who he was would come later, as was typical for the young girl. She was feeling sure of herself; she was on top.

What's up with all the Mad World lyrics in many tables!(300)

An ear flicked to pick up her voice. His face turned to find the young female. This was rather unapproved of? He had not taken notice of her before she had managed to get uncomfortably close. This was something dangerous. Haku Soul had gained enough enemies during the time he had lived in these lands. Although the pack was large and healthy, it was possible for trespassers to get past borders and past members. Hell, an idiot loner had ruined his living room. Teeth clenched as he studied the girl. Another member he had yet to meet. ”Because they gather close to the water, and I wanted a drink.” he said coolly. Was this not obvious? He shook his head, insects colliding with his eyes, nose, mouth, ears. Disgusting small creatures. His tail lifted slightly to hint of that authority he held within these lands, wondering exactly what kind of youth this one was. The last one had been an idiot, and he could tolerate no more of those.

Her next question was even stupider. Alone? Was he not allowed to be out this late all by himself? Better question, what was she doing here all alone? The man turned fully to face her properly, brilliantly blue almost challenging in their intensity. ”As a grown up, I believe I am allowed to do as I please without having a puppy sitter on my heels?” the man slowly replied, Did she want anything from him, was that it? ”Who are you and what do you want?” He confronted, before she could be lead to believe she would be the one leading the conversation. He stepped towards her, but only to try to get some distance from the clouds of fucking retarded bugs. His eyes were already flat against his skull, so that his ears would not get filled up with mosquitoes.

Heh, I requested graphics, and liosted what I listen to for her: Michael Jackson, 'Mad World,' Staind, and Disturbed, and Kat chose to use the song? It may have to do with that American Idol guy singing it, but. . . I just like to movie it's used in, Donnie Darko. XD And I'm sorry, but Princess is just. . . XD She's basically asking for it. 337 words.

sit and listen, sit and listen

It was an acceptable answer, although Princess certainly did not appreciate his tone. Arching her brow, she set her mouth in a straight line, to show him that she meant some serious business, and that he shouldn’t be so rude to her, for she was just too smart to fall for his rudeness. “What crawled up your rear end and died?” she asked, her tone far from annoyed. This man was very, very rude, and she did not deserve such an unpleasant reaction. Didn’t he know how much better his day was going to be, now that he was in the presence of someone so amazing? She was doing him a favor by stopping to say hello to him. Didn’t he care about that? When ha raised her tail, she was (very fortunately for her sake) smart enough to keep her posture the same, rather than raise hers as well. He smelled of the pack, and he probably had a higher rank than her. . . Getting kicked out would not please her, and she knew it would not make Tokyo happy, either.

The male stepped towards her, and in response, she lifted her nose and peered at him levelly. It was believable that the man did not know who she was, but it was unbelievable how rude he was. I am Princess Chance, and I was going to try to be nice to you, since you look unpleasant, but maybe I won’t now, because you’re so very, very rude,” she announced, irritated by his tone. Whoever this man was should be ashamed of himself, treating her so poorly. “And who are you, Mister Unpleasant-and-Rude?” The obvious was, indeed, obvious. Princess was basically asking for it (and probably a very unpleasant ‘it‘), or at least asking for an argument. Her brash nature was just too hard to quit, and she rather enjoyed arguing with those that were too rude to deserve anything polite from her, and obviously, this man deserved the exact opposite of her being polite.

Don't get me wrong though, it's a lovely song ^_^ I learned to play it on the piano a few days ago. So lovely! (300)

The moment her tone got smart and bitchy, the Lilium had to make an effort to not flash a set of dangerous fangs at her. As she came with her name, he let a minor snort reach the air. All the things the parents named their kids nowadays. The girl in front of him was young, and it was obvious that she did not know who she was speaking to. Or perhaps she did, but did not give a damn because she believed in freedom of speech. Haku loathed such creatures, although he did well at hiding this fact. The Lilium instantly wanted to tear and destroy at such confrontations, despite which part had caused it. The reason why he did not do so was obvious because of his position (making such bold moves against a pack member was very bad, and could weaken the pack overall etc etc so many reasons), but he had also realized that he should attempt to allow Dahlia’s members to be looser in their speech and action. Svara Thames had gotten away with a fuckload of bullshit that all the time had revealed how pathetically useless she was. The man had punished other, more worthy members for so much less. This had to change.

He suddenly felt like playing. Mr. Unpleasant-and-Rude? ”I seem to have a name already, according to you. That title alone suits me well enough.” the man said drily, his brilliant blue gaze quickly sinking towards zero degrees. His ears were still folded, though it was up to her to decide what that detail might mean. He moved closer, now only a few feet from the smaller girl. How long had this youth been in the pack? It was depressing how little he knew about his own pack anymore. Were they still above twenty in numbers? He knew some had left, but there were also new scents that could be detected, although he had yet to meet the fresher newcomers in Dahlia de Mai. He waited patiently for the girl's next wave.

The man was not happy, evidently, and she couldn’t help but wonder if such a thing could have been avoided. It was very likely that she had said something he didn’t like, and it seemed probable that it was her nickname for him that he didn’t like. Suddenly, she wished that she hadn’t approached this man alone, without some sort of tutelary being, like Cmwfen, or perhaps Alexey, or her mother. As he stepped closer, her mind told her she should take a step back and submit to the obviously higher-ranked male, but the stubborn part of her made her stand her ground, looking at him with an irritated expression. Princess doubted he was going to tell her his name after what he had said about the title, so she guessed she was going to have to call him Mister Unpleasant-and-Rude forever. How was she going to go and ask about him after she left him, when she didn’t even know his real name?

Exasperated, she sighed loudly. “I just wanted to be friendly, but obviously you don’t care. Don’t you have a real name, or do you like everyone to think you’re a big. . . Meanie?” The first part had been said evenly, but she practically spat out the last word, nearly sticking her tongue out at the (unbeknownst to her, of course, or she would have probably left immediately, rather than piss him off) Lilium. Alexey and Cmwfen had been nice adults in the pack, and Princess had been expecting that she would eventually come across someone who wasn’t nice, but it still annoyed her. “You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar,” the girl announced, although she did not know exactly what the phrase meant. Princess had read it in a book once, and had liked the way it sounded. It almost seemed to fit right now, even though the meaning was lost on her.

He's not, but it often gets him into too much trouble!

He was playing so nicely with her, but the young girl seemed oblivious of this fact. It was good to be assured that his masks could hide such a monstrous beast so easily, but the young female was going too far. Haku’s first lines had not been friendly, this was true, but he had not been very unpleasant either. Merely uninterested, perhaps a bit annoyed at her presence. That did not excuse the girl from continuing her act as she now did. The blue eyed secui merely stared at the girl as she went on with her chatter, oblivious of the dangerous grounds she was venturing into. He could give her a small taste of what he could do without getting into any troubles himself by now. He did not give shit about her original intentions, because she had instantly leaped out line with him. One should respect a member’s need for privacy if the member did not wish company. What an annoying little creature she was turning out to be.

”Don’t you have any respect for your elders or do you like everyone to think you’re a foul mouthed child?” the man replied back with a touch of ice in his voice. He could have stopped this instantly by playing his Beta card, but that would end the entertaining dialogue a bit too quickly. Weren’t there a Tokyo Chance around as well? Was this her spoiled brat daughter by any chance?

Princess considered the man’s words silently, trying to decide whether or not she should be respecting this man, and also trying to decide if she was the foul-mouthed child he had called her. After a few moments of thinking it over, the young girl stuck up her nose defiantly. “You asked - very rudely, too - who I was and what I wanted,” she huffed, retracing their short conversation. “I told you who I am, and that I wanted to say hello and be nice to you and stuff. If you were at all polite, then you would have told me who you are, but you haven’t yet.” She hoped she wouldn’t have to refer to this man as Mister Unpleasant-and-Rude forever, because then she would have felt bad for him to have such a sad nickname. He did say that the name suited him, but she wasn’t so sure if she was willing to walk away without learning his name. After all, how was she going to avoid him in the future if she did not know his actual name?

Settling her eyes on his paws, she shrugged half-heartedly. “Am I supposed to respect strangers? How do I know you aren’t the puppy-eater? I‘m not a little puppy, but I do have a friend who is,” she added, thinking of the white puppy with the bi-colored eyes that she considered her friend, sort of. Princess knew this wasn’t the one that had attacked her mother, because of his coloring, but it was possible he was the puppy-eater. Truth be told, however, Princess had never actually been taught manners or respect by Tokyo when she had lived with her as a very young puppy, and after running away, it had only been her and Buttface. Tokyo had spoiled her incredibly, and then she’d had no one to teach her how to behave properly. Frankly, she was terribly uniformed, and could probably use a lesson or two in manners.

He decided to ignore her words. After all, she had already found a decent name for him. If this was a childish decision, the man could not say, because he had some issues understanding some of the fine lines in communication from time to time. He flashed an arrogant smile when the girl found a few arguments to back up her desire to know his name. It was kind of obvious. The scent of Dahlia de Mai was strong on him. He had been here for more than a year now, so there was no doubt to which pack he belonged to. The puppy eater was a loner with a more faded hue of brown and golden eyes. Yes, Haku had actually run into this peculiar individual. He had been escorting a loner puppy back to its parents, and the ‘puppy-eater’ had entered the scene and eaten the child. That creature had fascinated Haku more than anything. He had been delighted to see that he was not the only one of the corrupted kind.

”I did not know the puppy eater was a Dahlia de Mai member.” the man said slowly, raising his eyebrows as if this could be an actual possibility. ”You are not required to respect strangers. However, you are required to respect your fellow pack members, especially if you are near the bottom in the ranks tree like you are, little Princess.” he said, his smile still present yet slowly fading as he spoke. Whatever. ”I’m Haku Soul, one of Dahlia’s leaders.” the man decided to add, finally. Would that make a big difference? Her behaviour was peculiar. She was right, the man had not been all too pleasant to her, but he was used to members being more careful than the little female here. It could be dangerous to disrespect the leaders, or so some individuals believed it seemed.

Taking in his words, recognition flowed over her face slowly, acutely realizing just who this was. Her shock was not due to his proclaimed leadership; no, that was not it at all, and she really didn’t care if he was a leader or a loner, now. Alexey had told her that Cercelee led the pack, and that was a female. Cmwfen was another leader, also female. And now, she was meeting the third leader, a male. Haku Soul? Her friend had not mentioned the name, but Princess could put two and two together. If there was only one male leader of Dahlia de Mai, and her friend’s father, whom she didn’t talk to anymore, was a leader, then that meant that this male. . . “You’re. . . Colibri’s dad?” she asked, unsure of what his reaction might be. Colibri had said that she and her father did not speak anymore, and that he had not been excited for her when she had first shifted, but otherwise, the woman had not said much about her father at all. What was there relationship like? It obviously wasn’t good, since they did not speak but were in the same pack, but would he be angered by her mentioning his daughter?

Reconsidering, she toned down the sound of her voice, forcing away the fervid tone that had been building throughout their interesting conversation. “Well, I didn’t think the puppy-eater would be a member. . . And I guess he would smell differently than you do, too. But it never hurts to be careful, even though I hate when everyone tells me I should be careful.” She shrugged, turning her face away from her leader, her cheeks a deep scarlet beneath her fur. If she had known he was a leader here, she would never have been so disrespectful. If Tokyo had taught her anything, that was it: Respect those above you, because otherwise, you could end up in trouble. In fact, if she had known who he was before now, she probably would not have even approached him in the first place, and instead would have kept her distance. “Sorry for not respecting you. . . I didn’t know who you were, and no one told me the name of the third leader, or that you were a guy, and everyone’s always telling me to be careful.” She tried to make the apology heart-felt, but it was difficult, when she wasn’t really sorry. Oh well; she was a decent actress.

He could see the surprise sneak up on her and bloom in her face, and wrongly assumed that it was because it had turned out that she had been trying to be smart with the wrong person. Apparently quite some of the fresher faces in the pack were completely unaware of who ran this shit. Of course, everyone seemed to know the ivory Rosea and quite some also knew the pitch black Adonis. Few seemed to know Haku, but then again he was not marching openly around. At least not too openly. He was an authority figure, this was true, but he was not much in the spotlight unless the matter had a drop of blood or two splattered over it. He was the impulsive and physical force in the leadership, far from afraid to do ugly things. He had always wondered why Cercelee had kept him as her second in command after the Inferni matter was over and done with, but perhaps it was true that opposites were nice spice for a council. Not for his plans though. It was an itch, really.

When her question sounded the man understood. Of course.. Had Colibri cried out her misery to such a young girl? Was there no end to her attention seeking? The man quickly caught himself judging his first born daughter instantly, but it could not really be helped. Once upon a time they had been okay and he had actually managed halfway to be a father for her. However, when the first grains of sand had started to run down the steep hill, the landslide had picked up surprisingly fast and destroyed whatever they once had. Haku was not one of those that glanced behind his back about such unfortunate instances. The demon had found pleasure in it, although Haku himself at that moment not that much. Today it was a memory edged with bliss. He was sick in his head and in his body. Creatures like Haku should not be allowed to live. He was too intelligent to roam about wildly and truly openly like Brennt. He was too delicate and messed up to climb up to the level Corvus Vendetta had reached. This was why he was still alive.

”"Yes” the male’s voice confirmed, voice slightly flat, but not announcing the true lack of proper relationship between father and daughter. That was all he had to say about that. Confirm that yes, he was her father. Was it not obvious anyway? She had his coat and looks down to the last detail. The only difference was her slimmer frame and her gender. Most of the female offspring he knew of that had his blood seemed to take after his general appearance. It was a nightmare. The girl did not seem to put extreme curiosity down in the matter and she quickly went on. It was true what she said now, one could never truly be too careful. Her last reply caused a lonely chuckle to leave his lips. Everyone always telling her to be careful. Ah, he understood. It wouldn’t necessarily make the man amend his behaviour though. ””Yeah well, hi there.” he dully said, not sure if he liked that he was a man ruled by and ruling with only females.

Her eyes searched the male, looking for something. . . But what? Haku Soul was Colibri’s father, and Colibri was her friend, and she had just made Haku angry. None of those things were really relevant to one another. She was allowed to have friends, and it did not matter in the least who their parents were, or what the parents of her friends (so scarce that they were) thought of her. Besides, she had apologized to Haku for not respecting him at first, and the girl figured that should be good enough. She did not know what it was she was looking for as she eyed him curiously, and she supposed it didn’t matter. Even if she was looking for something in particular, he was evidently not easy enough to read, and he certainly wasn’t handing out information with a friendly smile. “Yeah,” she murmured stupidly, agreeing with him (about what, she did not know). Where were they supposed to go from there, anyway? The situation had become awkward, indeed.

If he wanted her to leave, all he would need to do is say something, or he could even just walk away himself. However, Princess did not want to just walk away; would that not be showing some higher form of disrespect, after she had just apologized so wholeheartedly? “So. . . Have you guys always been in the same pack? My mom’s here, too, but I just joined a while ago, and she was already here, so I found her again. What’s it like?” There, that should be a safe topic. Bringing up her mother wasn’t exactly the easiest thing to do, and it could certainly end badly, as any number of topics could trigger an unpleasant memory of her mother and she might not hold her tongue as well as she could, but it was a common ground, sort of. Haku and his daughter were both in Dahlia, and Princess and her mother were, also. It wasn’t all that different, really, with the exception of how their relationships were.

Don't worry Smile Oh, and this reply sucks btw. (300)

Whatever those eyes of hers searched for, she would not find it. Haku was generally very neutrally posed whenever reactions and moods were better off hidden away. Without that self control, the man’s teeth would flash dangerously just at the thought of his daughter. Without that amazing self control, it would be clear to all that he was a notorious killing machine that found his pleasure in cruelty and despair. He remained in Dahlia because he saw the pack and his position in it as one of his strengths, a weapon he eventually could turn against those he wanted exposed off if he just managed to get a proper grip on it. So far there were those who were standing in his way, although he was certain that there would be a time where those individuals would be taken care of. He did not know when, if it would happen at all, but he kept that belief. Patience was something he handled well when all it required was to remain passive in this position.

Haku had silently toyed with the possibility to simply leave, but he preferred to witness her confusion and to see her uncomfortable around him. Her voice broke through and tiptoed back to the topic of his daughter once again, seemingly as a random topic to prevent that horrible silence to enter the evening air. ”No, she spent the first year or so of her life as a loner without a pack. Dahlia is the first pack she joined, and I just happened to be the leader there at that time.” the male replied, wondering why he bothered providing her with any info at all. Colibri was a delicate topic overall. ”Her mom is dead, and I’m her father only by blood and nothing more.” he continued, the dark mood already suggesting that this was a bad conversation topic. He should dismiss her or himself, but he was indifferent to uncomfortable silence and awkwardness.

It was ineluctable that she would bring up Tokyo in her conversation with Haku, even though her mother was a thorn in her side, constantly in her thoughts and coming up in her conversations. She loved her mother - or at least had decided that she did, whether she truly felt any warmth for the woman or not - but it was always difficult to think of their past together. Those thoughts always led to thoughts of her brother, whom she was feeling terribly guilty about. When she had left him, she had told him it would not be forever, and that she would go back to him. But how could she do that, when Tokyo had been so welcoming, and so intent on her staying, provided there was no mention of their past? Buttface hadn’t even fought against her leaving him, really. At least, that was how it was in her memory, edited as it may have been by her own justifications as to why she had not gone back yet.

Shrugging silently, Princess decided there was no need to question his lack of involvement with Colibri. Obviously, their relationship was terrible, even worse than the one that existed between Tokyo and Buttface, maybe. She did not know the extent of their past together, but it seemed worse than the one between her feared mother and her beloved brother. “I left my mom when I was a few months old, and then a few months later, I found her again here in Dahlia, so I guess it’s kinda the same for us. We have a weird thing, I guess, like you guys? Coli said you guys weren’t close, so. I don’t know where my dad is, though.” What she desperately needed to do, was to stop talking. Really, none of this was relevant to Haku, and she was just digging herself into a deep hole. She didn’t know how he would feel about her nosing in on their relationship, and while she normally wouldn’t care about that, she had to admit that the male leader was kind of scary.

Short, post is short! Oh, and Haku is horrible and not very fun. If you want to you can end it whenever if it gets too uncomfortable for Princess.

The girl went on, attempting to chat, unable to just go away. The secui kept his unpleasant stare, though enjoying this. She went on and talked about her mother and so on, and the Lilium wondered if she was aware that he did not give a damn. Haku did not like people talking about things that were completely worthless. Perhaps there could be some worth in knowing this, but he usually found little value in this. He was not much for gossip and that kind unless it served a greater purpose than just sharing stuff. Tokyo Chance was a woman he liked to look at, but he had no interest whatsoever in the history of mother and daughter. The man was quite sure that the Chance family had a weird thing similar to Haku and Colibri. He did not imagine Tokyo running around and rape her own children.

The male reluctantly decided that he could dignify the girl with a reply to all this. ”Oh.” That would have to be good enough. What else was he going to say? Should he spill out his life story? He did not really feel like it. There was no reason why she should know anything. Although this information from her had not been great nor valuable, he preferred being the listener and not the speaker. Most of his thoughts and his actions were things that should be hidden away from daylight anyway.

Princess blinked at his response, irritated once more by his lack of response. She flicked her ears back, almost afraid (and it would have been the best idea to be, but unfortunately, Princess lacks common sense) to say something to him once again for fear that he might snap at her, but worse than before. "So I guess you don't talk much?" she asked, hoping he would not find some ridiculous offense in those words. She was smart enough to know that she should be respecting him, so consequently, she was trying very hard to do so. It would be very unfortunate for her to offend him again, since Tokyo would have been unhappy to find that her little Princess had come back to her and away from awful, terrible, and worthless Buttface, only to get ripped to pieces.

Well. . . In all actuality, Princess did not know how sad her mother would be if she were to die, but she only hoped that she would be absolutely heart broken and crazy with grief. Tokyo loved Princess more than anything, wasn't that so? Maybe her mother would even seek revenge against Haku Soul in the future if he did end up beating Princess to the pulp she deserved to be, for all of her back talk and sass. Of course, with how cheeky she had been when first coming across the massive male, Princess deserved a good smacking around a bit, but she could always feel important enough to think that Tokyo would avenge her daughter. It was probably a fruitless hope, but she did hope for it, anyway. "You're not going to hurt me, are you? 'Cause. . . I wouldn't want you to." Princess didn't think he would, but it was always a good idea to check, and if he said he might, then she would be out of there faster than a rabbit with his butt on fire. And that was very, very fast.

She was right, he was not the greatest talker. Antisocial de luxe, because no one seemed to be truly worth his time. Her discomfort rose slowly yet steadily. Perhaps it was enough now. He could not run around and scare his own pack members too much if he wanted to be able to hold on to them in the future. His gaze finally broke off together with harsh laughter when she wondered if he was going to hurt her and that she did not want him to. What was it about these wolves and their fear of that he was going to hurt them? Haku did not know how far he already over the line he had first drawn up in order to keep his promise to Cercelee. He did not yet know how unstable he was. The man shook his head and let his gaze return to her once again. ”Don’t be a fool, little Princess, why would I ever want to hurt you?” An unpleasant grin appeared nevertheless as if attempting to falsify those words by suggesting the opposite of what he had said. It was entertainment though, to psyche out other wolves like this. ”It’s past bedtime anyways, little girl. You should go to bed, dangerous creatures can be out stalking the night.”

There were no words for the feelings of fear she felt at his smile and leering words, but Princess was not about to show that to Haku. Though he was surely able to tell when others were afraid of him, the Chance girl was not willing to admit any of her fears to anyone, let alone to those she was afraid of. "Well, you never know, Mister Haku Soul, but I didn't think you would, anyway," she retorted, hoping to regain some of her dignity in front of the male leader. It was meant to be a way of showing him that, while she respected him now (evident in the exagerrated "Mister," which was only a little bit sarcastic), she was not going to be afraid of him. She was much too important and smart to be afraid of someone like him, and she had only asked to make sure.

It was a brave front, but admittedly, Princess was a little afraid of him, and she was itching to leave his presence, almost wishing she had not stopped to question why he let the bugs swarm him like he had been doing. "I don't have a bedtime, but I am going to leave. I'm sure there are more important things I could be doing, anyway," she huffed, although it was a lie. There was nothing else for her to be doing, except for wandering and poking her nose in places it really did not belong - generally, that was in someone else's business. Others usually did not take well to how nosy she could be, but she decided, as she walked away from Haku with her nose held high, that she did not care: She would be as nosy as she damn well pleased, and whoever did not like that could shove it. It was better than being with Haku, at least.
